Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022)

I’m old enough to remember when we all thought mouse and keyboard would curb stomp controllers even with their aim assist. It wasn’t until the last few years where they started doing cross play that we all found out the hard way. Aim assist has been this way forever too. It’s even stronger in...

Did they ever fix a lot of the asset loading stutter that was plaguing the pc version ?

    WoW: 9th expansion; Dragonflight

I was going to say I might try this if it’s going to be on gamepass due to the Activision purchase looking like it might go through soon. I will not play WokeCraft even if it’s a perk of gamepass though.

Make sure you’re using 80 MHz width. Try changing channels. If both 42 and 155 have issues you can try DFS channels if your router supports it. I’d also probably use dynamic bitrate and possibly do an iPerf 3 test in your play space to see what kind of throughput you’re getting.

    Oculus Quest 2

I made sure all of my streaming devices other than ipads and iphones are wired. I had no issues with nieces using wifi when I was playing some games on air link. My router has a pretty powerful cpu though, so that helps. If your ac or ax router has a weaker cpu then you will probably want it to...

I moved all the Apple TV’s in the house to a wired connection via moca adapter so they wouldn’t take up airtime.

    Oculus Quest 2

It really does as long as you have the proper setup and are on a 5ghz channel that isn't being used up and you are fairly close to your router/access point. I'm able to play in my room that has a wall between my router with my pc downstairs hooked up through Ethernet via a moca adapter and it...

    Oculus Quest 2

I'm curious about forcing asw on the headset even though I believe it's 1.0 like you pointed out. Did you not get black bars on rotational turns when it failed to reproject? I get black bars on the right and left if I put the bitrate too high and i turn my head and it doesn't have enough info to...

    Oculus Quest 2

So apparently the quest 2 does have the ability to run ASW on the headset while using link and presumably airlink. If you open the oculusdebugtoolcll.exe and type in help in the cmd it lists a command " asw.HmdAuto (no arguments)" with the description "Switches ASW to be performed on HMD, rather...

    Oculus Quest 2

According to this guy on Reddit when link is used both atw and asw is done remotely on the pc rather than the headset. ATW I believe it’s the rotational reprojection to keep us from getting sick when there is higher latency for head turning. This would make sense rather than have the headset do...

    Oculus Quest 2

Hi chief! Doesn’t asw 2.0 work over link? That’s pretty much the reason people are excited for airlink because virtual desktop doesn’t do asw so although you get smooth head turns, you do get some lag in hand movement, some jitter and positional stutter. That should be eliminated with airlink...

    Questions for C9 OLED guys

Tigger said when you use tv scaling it creates black bars which isn't true. He didn't mention a "just scan" option.

    Questions for C9 OLED guys

So I went ahead and checked last night. Set my c9 to 1440 p 120 hz and checked the scaling. Scaling was listed as being performed by the display and no black bars. So im not sure where that guy got the info about anything other than 4k creating black bars when the tv is doing the scaling, but...

    Questions for C9 OLED guys

Of course, but he said when you select 1440p you will get black bars. He is the only person that i've seen mention that. I just hooked up my c9 last night, ran 1440 p 120 hz and no black bars. I'll check again to see if it's my tv or gpu that is the scaler, but usually nvidia defaults to the...

    Questions for C9 OLED guys

This is the first report i've heard of 1440 p creating black bars. I can also tell you that pc mode with hdr will cause color banding. To remove that you will need to set the input as console or just leave it the way it is. You lose 444, but you also get much smoother gradients.

    Questions for C9 OLED guys

Can you confirm whether or not low framerate compensation works with the c9? Im seeing people talking about how it isn't supported by looking at the edid. The 40-120 hz range suggests that it should indeed support it. I wont get my tv until tuesday, but im trying to figure out if I should be...

    Integer scaling, anybody tried it?

Integer scaling seems like it could be pretty good for rtx games if you are playing on a 4k tv. Just render at 1080 p and integer scale to 4k and maybe add some sharpening for good measure.

    Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw

Are the controls for this game similar to battlefront 2 star fighter assault mode? Where the reticle if slightly floating and not fixed. That's the game that got me to switch from using reverse mouse for 17 years. I couldn't control a floating reticle in reverse because it was similar to a mouse...

    RX Vega Owners Thread

Edit: Nevermind, I re-read your post and you said 15 % price difference and not performance By the way, the air boost version is actually the oc version. Not sure if that makes a huge difference.

    RX Vega Owners Thread

Do you think I will even be able to notice the sound? I sit about 8 feet away from the computer on the couch and play with fairly loud surround sound when im playing. How much performance would I be losing in comparison to my geforce 1070? I'm buying this card because the screen tearing is...

    RX Vega Owners Thread

Should I get the Sapphire Pulse or the MSI Air Boost Vega 56? I think all things being equal I would go with the Sapphire Pulse, but I can get the air boost for $260 and it comes with 2 free games, or I can get the pulse for $300. My current case has good airflow (Corsair air 540). Is it worth...

OLED HDMI 2.1 VRR LG 2019 models!!!!

Yeah, I saw that video. It was a bit disingenuous of Linus to suggest there are two valid ways of achieving this. As far as hacking it, I don't think there is large enough of a market. You have people that own samsung tv's from 2018 and 2019 and then maybe the LG oled people 2019 and up. I get...

WOW! 55" Display with 120Hz / 1440p with excellent latency. nVidia and FreeSync

Yeah, it's a pretty good card, but a wee bit expensive for what it offers in my opinion. I'm going to see what Navi offers. They are saying it will support raytracing and I want to see what amd has in store for us with zen 2 before I start my build. Have you been doing HDR and freesync...

WOW! 55" Display with 120Hz / 1440p with excellent latency. nVidia and FreeSync

Yeah, it's shockingly good as a monitor due to having such great low input latency, freesync support, HDR 10 and hdr 10+. Now if amd would hurry and release a graphics card that actually competed with nvdia mid to high end we could all be happy. I think Navi delivers. I'm planning on building my...

WOW! 55" Display with 120Hz / 1440p with excellent latency. nVidia and FreeSync

How far do you sit from the tv? I sit 10 feet away from my 75 inch which makes seeing the difference between 4k and 1440 p extremely difficult.

Game of Thrones "The Long Night" S8E3 - Not Too Dark! (Spoiler Free)

They also don't support 4k or HDR. It's quite disappointing; almost as disappointing as this season of GOT has been.

OLED HDMI 2.1 VRR LG 2019 models!!!!

Nvidia doesn't support freesync. They support "VRR" over display port. They might end up supporting VRR over HDMI 2.1, but they certainly won't support freesync over HDMI 2.0 which amd implemented and isn't standard with HDMI 2.0. I'm assuming you also have a samsung tv. I've researched this a...

OLED HDMI 2.1 VRR LG 2019 models!!!!

Can you link it? I actually have a samsung tv that supports freesync at 48-120 hz with lfc at 1440 p (Samsung q6fn) im using a 1070 though. I would like to test this out with a lower end amd card that supports freesync.

OLED HDMI 2.1 VRR LG 2019 models!!!!

Wait, how do you trick windows into thinking an amd card is a "low power gpu." You can do this if you have a ryzen apu, since the onboard gpu is considered a low powered gpu. Unfortunately amd graphic cards are treated as a "discrete gpu" So you can't tell windows to specifically select your...
