I tried to get one of my rigs going on grin coin but couldnt get it to work so I went back to nicehash and then monero after the fork. What a difference the fork makes!
I am still in awe of my 1440p 165 hz upgrade. At this point I still want fps over resolution and 1440p is a perfect balance for me. 4k one day when a 2080 is 399 and a 32 4k 165 hz monitor is a realistic price.
I am using a 2400g for plex. Encoding 2 streams at the same time is between 30 to 50 precent utilization. I would think a dual core should be enough for a single encode stream.
I have this issue too but since I live 10 minutes from a border town. I ship to a shipping depot address. A drive across the bridge and 5 bucks later I have my purchase. Saved a ton of money on shipping over the years.
I have two rigs currently still running. I keep them less than 70C and limited the power. I would have no issue buying a used card for gaming. I would think most miners took care of their cards to keep them running long term and to keep some sort of resale value.
Half way through Injustice 2. Runs flawless on a 1070 Ti. The story is incredible compared to the DCEU movies. They should just have netherealm direct the live action movies.
I've invested in some of the alt coins. Not a lot but researched and pick ones that sound useful as a technology. Nothing that will break the bank if they all tank. I doubt bitcoin goes that high that quick if regulation in Asia and North America comes into a effect.
