Afaik you should be able to buy a dust filter specifically made for this case. That should be installed in the gaping hole. That is my plan anyways, although I would like a sturdy one, as picking up the case could make your fingers go through it.

The metal strip is super thin. No more than 1mm I'd guess. The glass itself is thick, but also quite large. With a smaller piece, you could keep it at a solid 3mm, but 4 is also fine. The window kit really just needs to be 1 side on the GPU side. No reason to have a glass panel on the backside...

Sigh, what a shame. The contrast line behind the front plate is what made this case unique looking. With the new sides, it not only looks a lot more like any other case, but also looks a lot more like the Anthoo cases with the bends on the side panels.

Front IO looks very messy. I still prefer the original version with the grey stripe between the front and the sides. It makes the case unique instead of generic and hides IO well enough to make it more minimalistic.
