Seems like the dan cooler will be the best bet if the only compromise is VLP ram. I want a nice easy install, so i'm going SC2 and most likely a dan cooler.

Just buy a rubber stopper for USB port. That should work pretty well.

If I was to buy everything right now I think i'd go with 7700k delidded at stock speeds, L9i with fan-duct, 92mm case fan as intake, and 1080ti SC2. It sounds like temps should be okay with that setup.
