I've currently got an Sapphire Nitro RX 580 in mine and... my only complaint is the fact it makes a high pitched sound and i pop the side off when doing intense gaming to keep it quiet. Is this particularly unique to the Nitro cards, or will any GPU i buy exhibit it?
Anyone using an underside m.2 SSD? i'm just curious what kind of temps people might be getting. I just need a little more storage and one of the options is I'm contemplating is adding a 92mm fan to the drive bay to maybe aid cooling a little.
The temps are mostly fine at the moment, it's not so much the speed as... the side panel slightly affects the tone of the fans, i'm not sure if it's because of the panel being right up against the fans or if it's vibrating slightly giving it a tonal change?
My case is great so far, but i was wandering if theres anybody has tips on ways to reduce the GPU noise while the side panel is on? GPU has a sapphire NITRO cooler if thats any help
I would love to do an all AMD build for my Dan Case, but... i'm not too optimistic i'll be able to get my hands on a Vega card, let lone Polaris with the miners out there.
The warm weather (28c, which is pretty warm for me) is making me wonder how the dan case copes during heatwaves during gamng/rendering workloads. On a hot day what kind of temps do you guys get?
It seems a lot of alternitive PCI risers are coming onto the market from the likes of Silverstone, Lian-Li and Ryjintek, If they can deliver same/similar performance to the 3M for less, would they be worthy of consideration?
The biggest difference i can see is the X350 features an M.2 slot, while the B350 does not according to the description, but i can see the mounting screw in the same position
Looks like Silverstone have developed flexible PCI-E extenders that are rated for long workloads, and might be cheaper than 3M's https://smallformfactor.net/news/silverstone-cases-computex-2017-pio-micro-stx
I know this would probably require a major redesign of the chassis frame, but would a dorsal exhaust fan improve thermals in any way?
Very hyped for V2
