    DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

Currently not at home, so I can't look up details, but I have 32GB (2×16) of micron b die on VLP Stick and they run with 3200mhz cl16 19 19 ?? ?? @1.35v on a 2700x. They don't really seem to scale too well with voltage. I got mine for 200€ total from ebay from a company that was apparently...

Slim case, oveclocked 7700K, low noise: possible?

The Lian Li cases I mentioned are around a cm thinner than the Ncase M1 and are also, like the M1 and the Dan case, produced by Lian Li (obviously), so the quality shouldn't vary a lot. That aside, the M1 should be a more straight forward building and planning experience and it would also be...

Slim case, oveclocked 7700K, low noise: possible?

Why a dan case? CPU cooler clearence is not one of it's strong points. Anyway: You could try using a case with the PSU over the CPU cooler and replace it with an external brick or a hd plex to gain more clearance. Suggestions: Lian Li PC Q21 or Lian Li PC Q20 I would avoid a GPU, if you don't...

    PCIE Bifurcation

I would also be for the x470i. I've used the second m.2 slot (on the back of the board) with a riser for a second gpu. And noticed that it uses the lanes of the main PCI-e slot which than runs on x8. The Asus support only said that bifurcation is not planned, when I asked them.

What's a better fit for ITX, Ryzen or Coffe Lake?

Depending on how tight your cpu cooler clearence, how noise sensitive you are and on how far you are willing to go with modding, cfl has the LP53 with a noctua slim fan while ryzen does not. And that combo is pretty hard to beat when when limited to sub 50mm. Of course there is the c7 and a...

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

There are a few pictures out there (I think on SFF) that show that the card is the exact lenghr of a mitx board when installed.

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

I'm currently using one with the normal noctua fan 15mm fan (not the fast one that comes with the l9i) on a delided and lapped i7 6700k @4Ghz with 1.185V. I like to have silent system so I've set the fan to spin at a maximum of 1600RPM under heavier load. In almost all games it hovers around...

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

I did not have a C7 on the Sentry yet, but If you mind noise, I would stay away from it, as it's to close to the sidepanel and will cause a lot of noise. I tried a titan cooler, which even is a bit smaller than the C7 and it was a lot more more annoying than the LP53 with the same noctua fan at...

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

I used a thermal pad to connect it to the chassis, which helped a bit. If you are using one of the newer drives (Intel 760p, Samsung 970 and so on), it shouldn't be that big of a problem for normal usage anyway. I you do stress the SSD a lot, the thermalpad might be a good idea.

SENTRY 2.0: Evolution of console-sized gaming PC case

Is it possible to rearrange the gpu and the powerplug to allow for a taller gpu? It would allow for the pcie power connectors to be plugged in on oversized cards. Edit: I mean putting the powerplug on top and the gpu above the motherboard.

Smallest case for Ryzen APU & Wraith Stealth?

I got some temperature figures now. Cooling is sub par. It's ok for me, but I used a fan duct for the CPU fan, so it doesn't recycle hot air from the inside. That dropped the temperature by 10-15 Kelvin under load. I'm also not using the wraith stealth but the A404T from Xilence, with a 92mm be...

Smallest case for Ryzen APU & Wraith Stealth?

I'll do some with the parts installed once my parts arrive again. I sadly got a bricked motherboard :/ But here are some pictures for now. I modded my case quite a bit and changed it a few times so ignore the looks :P https://imgur.com/a/Wdivs

Smallest case for Ryzen APU & Wraith Stealth?

https://www.jj-computer.com/artinfo.php?artnr=V0000106 How about something like this? Might be a bit big though. Just got myself one for 40€ used from ebay with a usable 250w 80+ bronze FSP TFX PSU for a 2400g build.

Try undervolting, I habe my 1070 running at around 1800~1900MHz with 0.85~0.850v. I also set the power limit to 85%. It usually sits around 75-80%. Thanks to that I was able to slow my fans from around 1500~1700RPM to 1000~1200RPM. Also, what temperatur is your GPU running at?

    Help: SFF Workstation build

If you need 4 RAM slots, you might want to consider using a mATX case. Something like this: http://www.chenbro.com/en-global/products/PC_Chassis/Slim_Micro_ATX_Desktop/PC722. With 8.8L volume it's just a bit larger than the sentry. Cooling might be a challenge, you will most likely need to drill...

I've build my Sentry a couple of days ago and I must say it was a pleasant experience for it's size. Sadly my phone (my only camera) broke on vacation and I still don't have it back from warranty service, which is why there are no pictures yet. My Parts: I7 6700k (delid) Asus Z170I pro gaming...

I have a short question, that might have been answered already but I couldn't find the answer again. I'm sorry upfront. Anyway, did anyone messure what PSU cable lenght you need for the sentry if you have a Corsair SF PSU and a mainboard like the Asus z170i pro gaming. From the pictures I would...

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

I was told the same at their booth at computex. He also wasn't sure about pci-e bifurication and told me to not get my hopes up, but he didn't really seem to know what it is, so I would just ignore this statement for now.
