I agree , i think VA+FALD 512 zones+HDR 1000 nits will give us the closest thing to OLED .
You can see Samsung Q9FN with 480 zones and Panasonic DX902B 512 zones and how they perform against OLED .
Conclusion
The best you can get with RGB or YCbCr 4:4:4 is 4K 120 Hz with 8 bpc color depth, or 4K 98 Hz with 10 bpc color depth (HDR).
I wonder if Acer X35 will support 3440x1440 4:4:4 10 bpc color depth at 144hz and 200hz or not (144hz only) ?
Thanks vega , we appreciate this great work from you . I think Acer X35 will be great monitor too .
Do u think we need self-emitting like OLED or Micro Led in gaming pc monitors world ? or FALD will be enough for size from 27'' to 35'' ?
How u find HDR 1000 nits when u set very close to 27''...
Yes i want Micro LED today before tomorrow but what i fear 2 things :-
1) We won't see MicroLED (self-emitting) for 35'' ultrawide and see it only for 27'' and 32'' flat panel .
2) If this happens for 35'' ultrawide monitor , yes it'll be better than current FALD and Mini LED but may be we...

So maybe we'll see Micro LEDs for monitors one day.
Lol what i want is RPG games and shooter games too but i prefer big size with much better clearity detail . I think 2m will be enough for this size 65'' whether for PC Gaming or Consoles and as a TV for movies .
Does custom resolution will be a good idea on this 65'' giant monitor ?
Did someone try to do custom resolution like 3840x1600p on his TV whether 55'' or 65'' ? And how you find this vs the native 4K 16:9 ?
If u ask me , i'll tell u that gtx 1070 will be enough for many games at 4k 120hz and not just 1080 ti . You can play with the settings and turn some down until get the best fps and fast motion for your eyes .
I think PS4 Pro and Xbox One X support resolution 4K at 60hz so this BFGD won't be an issue for playing whether PC Gaming or consoles .
For 65'' i think is the perfect size for everything whether Movies or Gaming . Many people loved their TVs at 65'' 4K such as Sony Z9D , X900E and OLEDs . I...
Not just Samsung another display makers such as Lumens and plessey are unveiling their Micro-Led displays . I think we'll see more of Micro-Led displays by 2021 or 2022 but the problem will be the price ...
Sorry i'm an arabic and i don't know some concepts . I don't know what is the receiver which you mean ? Can u show to me by pictures how can i use HDMI to receiver for audio and the monitor via DP 1.4 ?
All what I know is running SPEAKERS with sound output in motherboard .
But this isn't a TV , it is a giant pc monitor so i think display port 1.4 will be enough to run 4K at 120hz at least for me without having to HDMI 2.1 .
I think display port 1.4 in current nvidia gpus can do 4K at 120hz without any problems , So why we wait for HDMI 2.1 to do the same purpose which display port 1.4 does ?
Yes , i want this size with the same specifications . From now I won't be confused about getting TV for Movies and PC Monitor for my PC . I can do everything whether Gaming or Movies in one size 65'' and we can use it for everything else .
Now the only thing i want to see with this monitor FALD...
A lot of people love Samsung-KS9800 with ~ 150 zones , Sony X900E with ~ 30 zones , Sony X940E with ~ 250 zones , Sony Z9D with ~ 646 zones , Panasonic DX902B with ~ 512 zones and Vizio TVs with ~ 128 zones , All these FALD TVs have excellent black levels with great colors and details . i love...
Sorry but i'm an arabic , so i don't know what does strobing mode mean ?
Give me simple explanation about it and how can strobing mode affect on HDR 1000 nits + FALD + G-sync at the same time ?
For me i don't know other than 120hz / 144hz / 200hz + HDR + FALD + G-sync and all these features in...
120hz or 144hz both are fine , But what is the purpose from buying 200hz monitor and running it at 120hz or 144hz all the time ?
If we can get the 4:4:4 capped at 120hz or 144hz + 3440 x 1440 + HDR 1000 nits + FALD 512 zones + G-sync at the same time , It does not matter not using 200 Hz .
Thanks for your great response , But i want to know what is the relation between Chroma Subsampling whether 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 and set lower refresh rate ?
I hope i can stay with 60HZ for RPG games and normal use beside 144HZ - 200HZ for shooter games , But i don't know what will happen for Chroma...
How can we notice by the naked eye whether 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 with different high refresh rates from 60HZ until 200HZ especially for Gaming ?
How u notice 4:4:4 for example at 144HZ and 4:2:2 at 200HZ with HDR ?
I want to know the method to calculate the exact refresh rate for 4:4:4 and the exact...
Thank u bro ,
For me 4:2:2 will be enough at 200HZ , I asked because i've seen in post at reddit site X35 and PG35VQ will have 4:2:0 Chroma Subsampling at 200HZ .
Does this monitor have true 8-bit color depth or 10-bit ?
You can wait your whole life for new tech , I don't think that oled gaming monitors will come this or even next year. The next big thing is direct led, which we have since some years @ televisions.
So once we see OLED gaming monitors whether 16:9 or ultrawide 21:9 , we'll see them at 60HZ and...
Do u mean single cable DP1.4 will be enough to do 200HZ + HDR + 3440 X 1440 + G-sync + FALD 512 zones with 4:2:2 which is = 4k 144hz 4:2:2 ?
I don't want to see 4:2:0 at 200HZ or set lower refresh rate to get 4:2:2 .
For the price it's not a problem , i can wait until we see these monitors at a price $1500 .
But How can we do 200HZ + HDR + 3440 X 1440 + G-sync with single cable DP1.4 ?
I want to run 200HZ + HDR + 3440 X 1440 + G-sync + FALD 512 zones with at least 4:2:2 Chroma subsampling and Not 4:2:0 . Can...
What about this case ?
Asus and Acer (PG35VQ and X35) have 4:2:0 Chroma Subsampling and all the high end monitors have 4:2:2 Chroma subsampling , and we dont know if the HDR thing is gonna work on HDR movies and thats because the HDR only works with G Sync and G sync only works while u r gaming .
Yes i agree with u . Why they did not make it permanent ? they know nobody would turn off the FALD , Why they did put option turn on and turn off ?
Hopefully if it was built into the monitor , i mean it is permanent and works all the time in order to benefit from the HDR and FALD for both Games...
Why no one would buy it ? it is FALD 512 zones beside VA , HDR , 200HZ and G-sync .
I think 512 zones for 35'' ultrawide will be enough and will give us great black levels .
