Do not replace your SD600 fan or it will die

FYI, for those who are considering with replacing your stock SF600 fan with the Noctua be warned, my PSU died on me within 2 days. I went to work and my computer was at sleep then I come back to turn it on after work and nothing. Computer would not turn on and the mobo light never went on...

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

So question, how much better is it for the PSU with the replacement of the stock fan with the Noctua? Since the Noctua maxes out at 2200 RPM vs 3900RPM and the spin up voltage is 6 vs the 3. Im curious as to if its really worth it for this swap. Anyone can comment?

Why slow fan spin start with Noctua fan in SF600 Corsair PSU?

Actually doing the solder work yourself is quiet satisfying if you have the tools ready. : ) but nice adapter, see the spacing inside the PSU is so small, and the fan cable is so long its actually best of course to fit the right size cable in that tight spacing. So doing a wire mod pays off...

Why slow fan spin start with Noctua fan in SF600 Corsair PSU?

Do you know if adding the Low Noise Adapter ( which limits the RPM fan speed ) would help with the spinup voltage?

Why slow fan spin start with Noctua fan in SF600 Corsair PSU?

So you guys think its worth leaving this fan on despite the spin up voltage difference? I dont really see a problem since it kicks the fan in anyway just slightly later

Why slow fan spin start with Noctua fan in SF600 Corsair PSU?

I see, so is this technically an issue to be concerned with since the fan DOES spin up eventually, or should i revert back to the stock Corsair.? What would you recommend. Personally, would love to keep the Noctua and the solder job was great.

Why slow fan spin start with Noctua fan in SF600 Corsair PSU?

Hi guys, so i replaced the stock Corsair fan in the SF600 with the Noctua NF-A9x14PMW one. I noticed that the spin up is time is slower compared to the Corsair. During gaming, I notice It behaves by attempting to try spin up the fan, the fan moves a few inches, stop stops, and attempts again...

How to upgrade the PC power switch on Ncamse M1

If you really obsess over the beauty of your new Ncase M1 case, then this mod will make it so much better. Ncase M1 optimal Noctua fan config for temps?

Is there an optimal CPU airflow cooling config for the Ncase ? I have seen pics of many Ncase internals with different fan setups, ex. a 120 on the chassis, an extra 90mm on the heatsink or 90mm on the rear capuring the air blown from the 90mm cpu cooler, was wondering if you guys pretty much...

1st Ncase Build, confused about how to connect 3 fans -_-

Hello guys, first time PC build here, I am using the Asus z270i motherboard. I have purchased the NH-UN9S and NF-A9 PWM and the NF-S12A PWM. This is a total of 3 fans. On this motherboard I am not sure how each of these fans should be connected. Do i plug in the fan on the cooler in the CPU fan...

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

I think we should just all take a chill pill, not speculate and just get the damn case, once you get the case, buy the components and test it out. If it really is unstable then its a different story

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

That is too bad, as most people when considering a new rig will always opt out for the highest end components. Now im doubting the whole purchase of the case in the first place. Already got the processor, why would i opt out for lower performing one and a lower performing card. Not happening.
