Hi,
Got the same build as you.... z270i + dark rock.
Was wondering what are your temps?
I have a hard time keeping them below 80 when overclock....
And was wondering why did you orient the Dark Rock this way...
I put the pipe on top .... and have no memory clearance issue, but the pipes touch...
Tx for the tip.
I end up doing it as follow:
remove the psu cage, and power connector
install dark rock on the mobo
install ram
connect all the wire (pwr connector, usb, cpu fan, etc) on the mobo,
instal the mobo in the case
install the psu and the cage
connect the wire to the psu
instal gpu
Hi all,
I am trying to install z270i with dark rock tf.
I have a hard time skrewing the skrew of the rad.... when the mobo is in the case....
Should I Fit the rad on the mobo and then fit the mobo in the case?
In that case, do you leave the PSU in?
Can someone share the correct order of...
Not 100% done yet, but I put the the big pipe at the top.
In that orientation the Dark Rock doesnt touch the ram at all
It also clear the mofset heatsink
No, but personnaly I had to drill some holes in the black plate so it fit flush.
The CPU socket skrews are too long on the z270....
(had the choice of dremel them or adapt the backplate.... chose the later)
Tx ! - anyone was able to find the 1080ti evga ICX dimension? the rad seems very diff than the regular 1080
