Finally did my build
Big resolution...Small PC, running 5120x2880 powered by GTX 1080 in SFF case, my first build in 8 years.
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
RAM: 32GB
Storage: 512GB M.2 + 1TB SSD
GPU: GTX 1080 FE
My Sentry case arrived much earlier than I expected and within 1 week of shipping, I still don't have any part ready so it will take a few weeks before I do my build.
Good timing for me, hopefully I will get my tracking number soon and by the time the case arrive (I know it can take weeks) Coffee Lake will be available , and I am considering doing a build with i7 8700 (non-k version) and a GTX 1080.
I still want to buy 27" 5K monitor, which is for some...
Or make the GPU use 1 or 2 USB-C ports, it's small, reversible, can handle up to 40 Gbit/s and support DisplayPort Alternate Mode out of the box, using the full 40 Gbit/s you can theoretically support 2 x 4K displays @ 75 Hz with HDR, for 2 ports that's 4 x 4K displays.
Everyone say what CPU/GPU/MB/RAM/PSU they are getting, I am more interested in what monitor they will use as I am still searching for a good one to use, my dream OLED 5K HDR 27"-28" monitor doesn't exist yet, So I am searching for the next best thing, waiting for the monitors demonstrated at CES...
Hello all,
I am excited for my first build in years (I think my last build was in 2009).
I ordered my Sentry case in the last day, so I am further down in the queue but I am not in a rush.
My planned build so far is based in i7 Kaby Lake and GTX 1080
... but I am still considering Ryzen (and...
