100% agree with the first part, but I think I disagree with the second slightly. I don't think it started as a scam but I do think it's become one now, as Roberts has realised that he can keep this gravy train rolling to the tune of millions of dollars a month without having to ever deliver a...
Yeah, I've said it before but I think 38" 3840 x 1600 is pretty much the perfect size and resolution for me. Shame that it's an extremely rare offering.
What would you say are the relative pros and cons of this LG compared to the Dell? Obviously quite different beasts but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about the differences.
Yeah this is a great panel - Dell also have a 38" 3840 x 1600 IPS. Perfect size, aspect ratio and resolution in my humble opinion. I do understand when people say that you could just get a 4K screen and then you'd have the extra vertical real estate, but I think that means a bit too much head...
There have certainly been a number of rumours of dodgy dealings with respect to the amount of money being "pledged" - chat about money laundering, or even large sums being pledged (specifically for some of the mega packages which can cost tens of thousands) actually coming from the company's own...
I guess the big question is: when does the money dry up? They are (apparently) still raking in millions per month, although I have no idea who is putting that sort of money in at this stage, and it doesn't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down to the point where they aren't going to be...
Totally agree that ATX is unnecessary for the vast majority of people who don't have particularly specialist requirements. I reckon 99% of people would be fine with mATX and over 95% of people would be fine with mITX.
Yeah, 38" 3840 x 1600 is absolutely perfect for me so it's a crying shame that it seems to have been consigned to history.
But if 1920 x 1200 can make a comeback then maybe 3840 x 1600 can too :D
I use the Anker vertical mouse and it's absolutely fine for £12 or whatever it cost me. It's not exactly premium but it does the job. One thing is that it's not a huge mouse in terms of height, so if you have wide hands you might find it a bit uncomfortable - I'd definitely prefer it if it was a...
Is it a fully adjustable curve (i.e. anywhere between flat and 800R), or just flat or fully curved? Wasn't sure if it locks into position or genuinely allows intermediate curvature.
I'd also like to see more 3840 x 1600 panels but these seem to be as rare as hen's teeth (especially anything with a refresh rate over 60Hz). Shame because that'd be pretty much ideal for me.
Agree with the rest of your post that modern monitors are superior to 2007-era monitors, except for this. IMHO 16:10 is just a better aspect ratio (especially for anything non-gaming) than 16:9. I wish there were more 16:10 panels out there :(
Yeah you don't need to trot our dictionary definitions here, we all understand what these words mean :D I am being somewhat facetious here because the two games are indeed quite different and have different circumstances surrounding their development - which is why it's (in my opinion) spurious...
Don't want to be an ass, but do you really want to compare SC to Cyberpunk given:
a) Cyberpunk has actually been released
b) SC has taken 75% longer to develop (so far) than Cyberpunk - and you can't count Cyberpunk's pre-production time without doing the same for SC, which started...
They aren't wildly illuminating, but CIG's accounts are publicly available on the UK Government website. Should note that there are 3 companies under the Cloud Imperium umbrella in the UK - Cloud Imperium Games Limited, Cloud Imperium Rights Ltd and Cloud Imperium UK Ltd (the last of which is...
I think I've had 4 monitors since I first got a PC back in about 2000. 15" CRT -> 19" CRT c.2003 -> 22" 1680 x 1050 LCD c.2009 -> 24" 1920 x 1200p LCD c.2013.
I'm definitely thinking about an upgrade, probably to something like a 40" 5120 x 2160, but it'd be a luxury purchase so it's harder to...
Hey JargonGR , if you do get the U4025QW, please report back with how you find it. It's on my shortlist as it seems to tick pretty much every box for me, but I'm wary of spending that much on a monitor unseen. Thanks :)
Yeah 3840 x 1600 is a great resolution imho, it's such a real shame that it's so unpopular with manufacturers. I'd actually prefer 38" 3840 x 1600 to 40" 5120 x 2160, but this Dell looks like a fantastic productivity screen. Just a shame it's so expensive.
Yep, they had control of the roadmap entirely and could have included as much or as little as they liked, and yet they still managed to produce a roadmap that showed that they are consistently failing to deliver on their plans. No wonder they binned it off - accountability fucking sucks when you...
Haha, they have dropped the pretence of being accountable entirely 🤣 And the day after that announcement, they announce yet another ship sale 🤣 Which will bring even more cash into Chris's pockets 🤣
You really couldn't make this shit up.
Appreciate the response, as I appreciate all of the responses from you and wahaha360 over the years.
I understand that there will have been good business reasons behind stopping production, and I don't know the details of the arrangements you have with Lian Li and how viable it might have been...
Ah, that's disappointing. Appreciate your efforts though.
As an aside, I find the whole situation with the M1 suddenly being discontinued, seemingly completely out of the blue and without any real explanation as to why, to be a sad end for this iconic case. That, combined with the horrible...
