NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

When you say "expansion cards to the chassis via their own mounting bracket" you mean the screws holding the removable slots in place? the ones that actually get screwed into the gpu?

Might be a stupid question, but do you guys use PH0 or PH1 size screw drivers for fan bracket/mobo screw/chassis etc?

Curious if anyone has had luck finding a good generic m.2 heatsink that fits on rear mounted motherboards. I am going to be using the Strix X570-i and here is what the back of the case looks like. Not sure how much clearance this will allow for but am interested to know what has worked for everyone!

Just got my Ncase delivered in Canada. Ordered 12/15/19, shipped 12/24/19, delivered 01/07/20. Not bad considering the holidays! Also I wasn't asked to pay duty? Is this normal?

Hello! I am looking to run a Gigabyte 2070 Super GAMING OC in my upcoming Ncase build. I have read that this card fits on the official GPU list, however I would like to confirm that it fits in multiple cooling scenarios. (FYI the "Gaming OC" version is thicker than the "Windforce OC" version)...

Has anyone here tested the 1080 Ti SC2 with 2 intake fans below vs. no fans below? I'm not interested in doing an arctic accelero or anything of that nature - just curious how temps are.

This is interesting. Can you go into detail with exactly what your C14S fan setup was? I'm running around 8-10 degrees cooler on the regular C14 at 5.1 delidded.

Too many options. What should I use to cool my 7700k

Jump into that case with the basic Corsair AIO approach just as hundreds have before you. Otherwise buy tower Noctua cooler.

Can someone please tell me (or show me a pic) of the screw I'm supposed to use to secure the side panel fan mount to the Ncase. Not the 2 baby ones that go into the front side, but the 2 that attach to the bcak bracket in the rear. I just want to be sure I'm not using the incorrect screw by mistake.

Totally ineffective, and it comes from the proximity of fans to the video card, not distance of air to be drawn in. Don't bother as these cards are really effect without any addition air flow. If you understand how reference cards work they are totally sufficient without forcing any addition air...

You can use the side panel with the screen just to have a screen if you want. And thanks Qrash, as you can see it's got a slight edge in performance. Neither are really audible but I prefer the Phanteks looks. To be clear: the best temps I've achieved in testing a large cooler like the C14 came...

No need to run a bottom 120mm, and the A15 is simply not as good. Lower CFM / static pressure, plus aesthetics.

NEW FAN WHO DIS? could it be final form? This Phanteks fan mounted to the C14 gave a 1-2C drop from the Gentle Typhoons and is far quieter. Highly recommend this fan to those of you with the C14. You can use the mounting clips that came with your C14 fans. 5.1 GHz+ here I come!

I use that mobo with a C14 and probably get the same temps. If anything is a pain with this case its fitting a AIO cooler in it, and then every time you want to open the case you'll need to prepare.

You really should look at other cooling options. I know you're in HK, why not take the train a short way to Shenzhen where they have electronics shopping malls for pc building? You can easily find one of the cooling options not readily available in north america. Scythe for example should be...

This screenshot shows my Ncase build running a delid and basic overclock: 7700K @ 5.0GHz / 1.35v 1080 Ti Founders Edition (stock clocks) As I've said here before - the cooler used here is a Noctua C14 w/ 2 Gentle Typhoons (1850PWM) on the side panel as intake. For the delid I used...

With a custom fan curve on the Ti I can stay under 70c. Standard curve is around 80 as always with these founders cards. Performance is incredible. My delid on the 7700K keeps everything safe and happy.

Before my delid. My 7700K on stock clocks with C14 / 2 GT's ran at 68C load in Prime95 v26.6 SFF test. Now after the delid and the same cooling setup on stock clocks I run at 53C load in the same test. This is a 15C drop. However it's important to remember I am on Air. This same chip with a...

After a few Cinebench runs on 100% full fan speed and open case, my temps were maxing at 49-50C load. For my delid - I used the Rockit88 delid and relid tool. I love the ncase, and ultimately will end up back in it! When Intel X processors release late summer or fall I will migrate the Ryzen build into the ncase and switch my main rig to the ATX. When I made my big move to the ncase I sold my 5960X build to a friend and since I have had some business...

Just wanted to post a quick pic with my custom cables before I disassemble the build and move. Unfortunately I have to go to a full size for the new Ryzen content. AIO CPU coolers and Ryzen

I am in the market. Right now I'm leaning toward the Noctua options for my 1800X vs. the Alphacool Eisbaer 240 AIO CPU Cooler as both options are available now. Corsair has been really lax on telling people what's going on.

I would encourage you to go with a reference or blower style cooler, as all the hot air is being quickly pushed out in my current setup. The reference coolers will stay within perfectly normal range and there is no need to put additional fans under them. As for NH-C14 fans. Any high CFM fans...

It's tough to say. Because my issues seem like basic things that go wrong with these boards. How would I review the Z270i Asus Strix board? I would still give it a 5/5. It is simply the best MITX option on the market and I would buy it again. Also the fact that this mobo performs on point with...

Both the U9S and D9L have virtually the same performance. Pick whichever is cheaper. Reviews differ and show both outperform each other inconsistently by 1-2C.
