Same here. I'm reviving this old system I have and just faced the same RAM counting problem. Thing is, I still remember how to fix it. At least for me in this Gigagbyte GA-EX58-UD3R. I do use 3 XMS3 Corsair 2GB sticks (totals 6GB) in this triple channel X58 chipset and that's where the problem...
