I really got back into Destiny 2 over the holiday break. Me and my two friends tried competitive PVP for the first time ever. Within 2 days of playing off and on grouped, we all the The Recluse. I had previously thought this to be just about impossible! Really close to getting The Revoker...
FYI, according to my extensive Reddit reading, the Destiny 2 AMD Driver fix is working for almost everyone. It's not the long-term solution, but people are now up and running.
Major props to Activision and Blizzard. I'm was very surprised, but the servers (at least for me) were rock solid from launch onward. I had no issues playing and grouping with friends. This seems somewhat rare for a launch now-a-days. Great game thus far.
Do the side quests and public...
Them leaving in the controller advantages is unreal. It's almost like cheating. If you've going to do a PC game, do it right. Regardless....happy launch day everyone. Hoping we can all log in today!
68 gigs...ugh. Games are getting so huge. Should be fun downloading on my 3 meg dsl line. I hope they pre-load WAY in advance like they did for the beta.
I agree. It seems that 5 weeks after console launch, people are pretty much through with the current content, and really there isn't much, if anything, left to do. I think the 16% raid completion rate is pretty high considering.
I think it's going to take a few iterations of DLC for the game to truly shine. I'm going into it expecting a more casual experience that will improve over time. If you are looking for something hardcore...probably best to look elsewhere.
I've seen many complaints about this feature and no reports that they are going to remove it. There was an article about this a week or so ago. I hope they remove it from the game, but at this point it seems doubtful.
~$550 seems to be a normal price for this card. When I was looking for my 1080, it was the one always in stock around this price. Not bad...just normal!
I'm curious to here how this is progressing, if at all. I'd love a return the the MW2 or mercs days. Been a pretty long time since i found a mech game worth playing.
Be sure to post some of your impressions about the beta. Although even with a good report, after the first one, i may doubt the staying power over time :)
I agree, i'll get it on a deep sale. I've done my research and it sounds like great eye-candy if nothing else. Seems it's come along way at least from launch.
I heard the same thing, once you reach max level do so the weekly stuff you can shelf it until the following week. Honestly, I think i'm going to like that. Frees up time for multiple games!
KI-2 is probably my favorite fighting game all time....not saying it's the best, but I had the most fun at it. Lots of problems from the first one were fixed. Also, remembering the time (mostly pre-internet), the issues weren't as clear since you just had the cabinet in front of you to worry...
The mechanics were pretty simple...stand in the right place, shoot the right mob based on a symbol. I know the streamer stated that bad runs took 3 hours, good ones two. Someone commented the best had it done in under 30 minutes.
Apparently there are checkpoints for each stage of a raid...
I watched a streamer this morning do the Lev raid. I was pretty impressive with the design. Simple to do with a knowledge of the format and good voice coms. The content is looking really good thus far. Lots of variety for the $
This was my favorite fighting series back in the day. I'll probably be picking this title up. So excited for this to be on PC. It may not have been for serious competitive players back when it was released, but it was one of the most fun on the genre.
Has anyone heard anything about future DLC/expansions for this? Probably my favorite game of the year thus far, but once you go through it once, it's kinda over for me.
I agree. If you don't have a Mercy, it's extremely tough to win. She's insanely OP. D-va changes have turned her a into a bit of a DPS/Tank hybrid. Overall, i'd still call it a nerf. I like them mixing it up, but the Mercy change went way too far.
I did a search, but nothing came up. Anyone else playing this? It's highly addictive and really well done. A few years old now, but still going strong.
