I would check out Iiyama x4071UHSU-B1 if I was you. I'm usually a ONLY IPS kinda guy - but this panel is surprisingly good and cheaper.

I was also told that they would cover it by warranty - however when they responded to my RMA, they declined.

It is nice to hear that unicorns do exist :-) On a side note - I play with a gtx 970 on mine, with no issues. Most games on high (not ultra), even with the monitor overclocked to 70hz

So after ditching the Philips, I went over to the Iiyama x4071UHSU-B1. I was a bit worried that I was going to notice the PWM, as I'm fairly sensitive to it, but as far - I haven't noticed any pwm-headache. The colors are vibrant, but a tad blue out of the box (took a few minutes to correct)...

I just think I'm going to go with a 34" UW monitor or wait for a decent quality 4k PC monitor

I could not live with horrible quality, and artifacts racing across the screen. In that case - I might just save some money and buy a cheap LG 4:4:4 4k tv instead. We have no idea why it was pulled - but I will assume that it was due to the high amount of complaints and RMA's of the shitty...

Just don't. Consider this: Philips launches this prosumer product, 1-1½ month later it's pulled off their product line. If this is not a warning signal - I don't know what. I bought 2 - I'm just a youtube watcher / gamer - and I could not live with it.

15 minutes was enough for me to create a nice imprint. I did not even dare to try 1-2 hours, I was afraid that it would be permanent.

It is not stressing the limits - It comes stock out of the box with those settings.

You could take a look at my burn-in and see what you think. The result of a static image from the browser after 15 minutes. I just moved the browser a few inches up.

It was a follow up on my case with the Danish Philips customer service. They explained that they did not have a direct fix, but offered exchange. Although had to deny - as I have already returned both my monitors for a full refund. But no - he was fairly quick and could not give more information.

Philips confirmed over the telephone today that this was a major issue. Not all - but a big amount.

That is irrelevant. The TV says it has the TPT430U3 EQYSHM panel, which the BDM4350UC uses. Although one site states it's a VA panel when it's in a TV.

Raguel - I'm from europe, and I recieved the UC verisons. Both had burn-in and artifact issues.

Well you better start saving up - If the price follows the trend will they be around 1500-2000£ for a "descent" monitor next year.

You might be referring to Pixel Orbiting? Although in my case, that was enabled from day one, and did nothing to prevent burn-in.

The store finally accepted the monitor back and refunded me. If you live in Denmark, be aware where you buy it, as the "Forbrugerstyrelsen" has no guidelines on what is acceptable for ghosting and burn-in. This resulting in DustinHome refusing all responsibility, as the monitor is defined as...
