    you should have much better temps than the Cyrorig M9i. It has a mass of 345g and a 92mm fan. The NH-C14 has 700g mass and 140mm fans. But I am running my fan at 50% with full load on the CPU. I guess your buddy is closer to 100%.

    Troubleshoot by adding / removing components. You can test without the GPU. Find someone who has memory that can fit your board or get new one from the shop. If it still persists it's either the CPU or mobo. Did you install the newest mobo firmware?

    Hmm, those temps seem a little high. But to be honest I think Prime95 is not a realistic stress test. Aida64 is a much better real world test and I am reaching 55°C on the CPU package. Here you can see the spacing a little bit better on mine.

    I also have an EVGA and it whines a little. I think EVGA has an issue with this as one hears reports often about this. I would have prefered to use an Asus Strix but since I am running a hackintosh, I didn't want to risk it not being compatible. Maybe I will try Asus next time.
