I must say mine is working properly. Except some Bios Crash if I spend too much time in it, the mobo works perfectly. I've tried Wifi, Ethernet, Memory Ram and CPU OCing, Fan control (both PWM and Voltage control) and everything works fine.
Did not have any problem with a 2X8GB Kingston Hyper X Fury 2666Mhz. The Ram was at 2666Mhz clock right at the start. I have used bios 1.10/1.20 and 1.30 so far.
Thermolab LP53, Scythe Big Shuriken 2 Rev. B, Thermalright AXP100 or Zalmann CNPS8900 Quiet.
Every of these cooler will perform better than AR06 and Cryorig C7.
If the M.2 slot is occupied by an M.2 Sata III SSD, then port SATA3_0, SATA3_1 and the SATA function of SATA_EXP0 will be disabled. you'll have 4 Sata port remaining on the board.
If I remember well, Z170 chipset has some extra PCI lane so when using M.2 with an NVMe SSD, you'll not use any...
That's unimpressive. Being better than L9i by small margin is not that good. Cooltek LP53 performs way better and seems to be the better choice for the A4.
Good news Dondan about the reseller. Hope it will end well.
The new Silverstone PSU, this is a 700W PSU, not 600W. I am waiting for it as well.
As for the M8I, the scale seems off. Cryorig C7 is 97mm wide and respect Intel "Safe zone" so it should fit on any board as i think they have to...
No beep is normal. Like I said the UEFI disable beep by default. You have to enable it once you can reach the UEFI.
Can you tell us what did you connect to the Mobo ? Do you use a GPU ? Did you connect your video out on the GPU ?
Some people were able to fit a 60mm cooler like the Zalman CNPS8900 Quiet. But swapping the original fan on the Scythe Big Shuriken 2 for a 25mm thick one will not fit.
I tried to upgrade my bios to 1.30 but it did not work. The bios is still 1.20...
And I still have some random freeze when navigating in the bios. Otherwise the board works fine.
Personnaly I wouldn't mind having holes for WC on the back of the DAN A4. But not on the side. Hell no ! That would be FUGLY.
Also, you desire to put WC along the DAN A4 is a niche usage for an already niche product. DAN A4 will probably not sell far more units with this option.
In my case i...
Ncase M1 is not really suited for horizontal use.
For horizontal use I suggest Silverstone cases :
RVZ01/ML07/FTZ01 or the new RVZ02 which is more build friendly and with an easy access to the back of the mobo.
But keep in mind that horizontal position give less air to the GPU which is on the...
Seems like the slot is broken/undetected.
Try another pair of memory stick from another brand if you can.
I would personally open an RMA right away as this seems to be an issue. There's nothing you have to enable. I've read the manual and Dual Channel should be detected right away.
I have the ASrock Gaming ITX for one week now and nothing to complain.
The I/O is a little weak but that's ok.
I had to screw again the antenna plug but now it seems solid enough.
Wifi works quiet well.
Fans control is easy and effective. You can control 3 pin fans with voltage control and you...
Yes totally agree. I wouldn't go for a push/pull configuration myself.
But I like the idea behind the EK Res + pump combo which allows to use any CPU waterblock and not just stick to the Apogee Drive II + External reservoir combo.
I also like the idea behind the crossflow rad in a pull...
I agree with what you are stating but we were not talking about four slim fans versus two 25mm fans. But four 25mm versus two 25mm fans. So this is just comparing push/pull versus push or pull. In the link i have posted above the builder used four EK Vardar 25mm thick fans. Only possible in the...
That depends on radiator and fan choice.
I think thicker Rad + 2 fans should perform better.
But you have to consider that according to the M1 limitation :
Crossflow radiators are quiet rare I think. There's only two model on the market as far as I know : XSPC EX 240 crossflow with a...
It doesn't matter. SFX-L PSU's depth is the same as the SFX version.
The big difference is the width from top to bottom. The SFX-L cables tend to collide with the bottom of the GPU.
Watercooling is not affected by the PSU choice.
I dont' own a M1 yet but I've made some heavy search on WC inside.
Most people go for the FrozenQ reservoir + Apogee Drive II combo.
But there was a build which was clever in my eyes.
The build in question :

And if the temperature rises, will the tape stick ? For how long ? I always dislike when you have to MacGyver something to make it work properly.
Other than the lack of screwing point for 2280 M.2 card, the board does not support USB 3.1 Gen 2. Ports are USB 3.1 Gen 1 which is another way to...
Thanks for sharing. This board is disappointing. No M.2, only two fans header, the M7I was better and still is.
The best boards for Skylake seems to be the ASrock Gaming, and Gigabyte Wifi/Gaming 5.
M.2 will be present, I'm not worry. no visible holes doesn't mean it's not there. Can you see holes on the ASrock Z170 Gaming itx ? I can't but M2 is still there.
If you want to use M.2 pcie SSD like the upcoming Samsung 950 pro, you should choose another mobo. Only 4.2cm/ 6cm length M.2 SSD cards can be mounted. Seems like the 950 will be 8cm only like SM951 already is.
Big fail from MSI imo.
Go check ASrock Z170 Gaming ITX Memory Support List :
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20Z170%20Gaming-ITXac/?cat=Memory
Seems like only few 16gb ram are supported right now. And none are from Corsair.
