From way earlier in the thread. Can use a different test method if you have one you would like to see. I don't think the heat is a big issue unless you are really torturing the drive for extended periods.

Still very happy with the gigabyte board :D. Fan control is really the only thing that I would ding it on at this point. Depending on the fans you have and the amount of messing around you can put up with, the software fan control that is included can get you quieter than the limited bios...

That is interesting, if you feel like messing with it, it might be worth using the jumper to reset the bios and then start it back up like its fresh. That might get it to foget the Intel video was ever used...just a random thought.

Had no issues on the gaming 5 with my 970 (Asus mini). Did you change the bios setting for which display device to use first? I would disable the integrated video and set it to use the Pci card first. Sometimes the auto settings can cause delays, mine worked fine with the 970 on first boot...
