I don't expect you to give any considerable thought to this, but if I wanted to mod the case myself, would a slim blu ray drive, 12.7mm (H) x 128mm (W) x 129mm (D), fit next to a short gpu card? For example an R9 nano which is 152mm long.

Wow! That latest render with the 5mm hole design is by far my favorite design. It looks incredible and the accent running through the middle of the gives it just enough character for it to not look boring/sterile.
