When I boot my Windows 8.1 machine any open windows at the previous shutdown appear clustered in the top left corner of my Philips monitor. How do I get the windows to open at the same position they occupied at shutdown?
I'm probably going to regret saying this but I have just received a new replacement monitor from Philips in the Netherlands and it appears to not have any obvious faults(will check all the inputs later). This is my third Philips BDM4065UC and the first one that's OK(?).
Only surprise was that...
I suspect it's going to be easier to deal with Philips, no doubt I could send it back but Philips have said they'll send out a new one as the claim is within 14 days. With a retailer I have to book couriers, reclaim shipping costs, and it's also a pain in the arse for them. Philips caused the...
Good grief ...
Ordered another one of these monitors from mainland Europe(I'm in the UK), set it up and yet again there is a manufacturing defect at the top of the screen allowing the backlight through - similar to last time. Also, to add to the fun, the LCD has a small black rectangle...
So the Philips arrived today and since God is the world's greatest arsehole it appears there is a significant problem with it.
It arrived undamaged(?) from Italy to the UK but the screen doesn't fit flush to the edge at the center/top and the backlight shines straight through, makes me wonder...
Don't know if anyone is interested but Amazon Italy have a number of BDM4065UC monitors at EUR 685.07 - so you get Amazon's good customer service...

I've ordered one from the UK - time will tell whether that was a good or...
Couple of years ago I had a 30" Crossover arrive badly damaged from Big Cloth Craft who were meant to have good customer service amongst Korean sellers. I opened a eBay case and BCC would sometimes take a week to respond to e-mails but funnily enough tended to reply in about a day if I sent...
I'm also interested in TV recommendations, also is there any good reason to select a TV as a 4K PC display over something like the Philips 4K monitor(BDM4065UC)?
Couple of questions about the LG 49UF675 ... I notice it lists 4096x2160p as a resolution while the LG website only lists 3840 x 2160 in the specs - why the difference? Also does this use PWM backlighting, if so how does it compare to Samsung who I've heard use low frequency PWM?
