EK just released an expandable AIO. http://www.techpowerup.com/215197/ek-water-blocks-announces-ek-predator-aio-cpu-cooler.html
I wonder if it will fit in the ncase due to the pump/res hanging off one end. i hope it does, because it would make for a pretty perfect cooling setup for the ncase.
I'm using mine with Windows 10, so i cant speak to linux drivers, but performance is pretty good, I dont game, but i wanted some decent GPU power for videos.
Has anybody VESA mounted their L1/2/3? im thinking of doing that so the only exposed wires are a single USB ethernet and power.
I'm using a A-10 7850K with that motherboard (also a 95w CPU) and a mSATA drive for boot. I've got a shuriken big 2 rev.b CPU cooler with a 25mm PWM fan on top. Powered by a HD Plex 160w PSU.
Its certainly possible, I dont have experience with a GPU though. My temps are pretty solid, never...
My PSU died, and i had a 400w Pico PSU laying around. So why not? In theory it could be mounted next to the internal SSD, and allow room for a internal res. the downside being the massive power bricks neded to power it.
(460 2win there for fullsize GPU placeholder, its deader than dead)
So...
Frozen CPU is in east rochester, not Pittsford?
I live in Rochester, so I'm going to nip over there tomorrow and see whats up.
Per google maps:
"Address: 311 E Chestnut St, East Rochester, NY 14445"
I am currently using a HP 200w laptop power supply with the HDPlex 160.
both HP and dell laptop power bricks will work with the 160.
for what its worth, the part number for mine is: 644698-003
Massively overkill - but its what i had.
Received mine yesterday, still waiting on a PSU though.
since SSD's theoretically only need 5V of power, I've been toying with the idea of powering mine off the USB header. It can provide up to 4W, and the SSD i have only pulls 2.5W maximum, it should be possible!
Current setup, planning...
