Has anyone noticed that creator mode with the 2.4 gamma looks better than most games that are enabled with HDR. It seems HDR enabled in games raises the gamma where the blacks are gray again. I have adjusted the sliders to get those inky blacks of creator mode but it seems HDR keeps overriding...

I had a DVI-I to VGA and could resolve 2304x1440 on the FW900 before fine at 80hz. It was on my Maxwell 980ti. I am not sure if DVI-D however will even work since the 4 pins are missing for analog.

I have an issue. I just bought and upgraded to Titan X(P) which includes a DVI-D connector and not DVI-I. Is there a way to output analog to the FW900 using an adapter?

you definitely should be able to get the blacks as low, I used the WPB guide and adjusted my unit with the WINDAS and my unit with the AG coat removed is just as black in no light as the other with AG. With proper WPB my unit is at 30 brightness and has near black contrast with black image. If...

Keep The AG coating on. I have one unit with it on and another with it off. It really doesn't seem to visually impact the performance of the monitor other than it does possibly help text clarity some and overall brightness, but it is very minimal. Not worth removing if you AG coating is in good...

Congrats on the find paradox4040! I just got an Acer xb271hu to compliment my FW900 lineup. Crazy how my 14 year old FW900s side by side still have the edge in depth, motion blur, and input lag for sure. The input lag in twitch gaming is GODLIKE on the FW900.

I have this card clocked at 1450mhz and it runs cool at 71c @ 60% fan usage. It is a beast in every since of the word.

doesn't matter if you buy it through oculus or steam. When you launch Steam in "other VR mode" it causes the oculus runtime and store to enable. I have it through steam on Oculus and works perfectly.

ULMB does dim the picture but it does not dim it beyond say a plasma tv level for viewing in a moderately lit room you still have plenty of luminance.

Honestly this monitor gets EXTREME bright, so even if you opt for the ULMB which works AMAZINGLY it does not reduce the peak brightness to bad levels. in a moderately lit room. I like it. It may actually add some perceived contrast in dark scenes because of the way ULMB works, I keep GYSYNC on...
