    980 Ti reviews are up.

Unfortunately, very few 4K TVs support Displayport, and there is no DP->HDMI2.0 adapter on the market yet. I'm in this boat myself. I have 2 Hawaii GPUs and can only do 4k30 on my TV with them. It's a good thing for me that new cards aren't going to be in my budget for a month or two...

    CS:GO Crossfire Microstutter

CS:GO uses a DX9 renderer. Unfortunately, AMD still hasn't implemented DX9 frame pacing, and I can't imagine it's high on their priority list anymore :/ All you can do is disable crossfire for the game or use radeonpro's dynamic framerate control feature.

    R9 295x2 @ 4K 60hz on HDMI 2.0; possible?

This item has been up since January of 2014 according to the purchase history; I wouldn't put much faith in it. A real DP 1.2->HDMI 2.0 adapter will almost certainly be an active adapter and cost quite a bit more than this.

    GTX 970 SLI and Windows 10 / DX12

It's going to be entirely up to developers. Unlike current multi-GPU setups where data is automatically copied to both cards and that's that, developers will have to manually allocate resources depending on what they need to do. If cards A and B both need a particular asset for what they're...

AMD Releases more Carrizo Details: AMD's ISSCC 2015 Presentation

Agreed. The shield is ultimately not going to be any more useful for the vast majority of the market than any other Android TV box. From a tech nerd perspective, I look at it and think "That's kinda neat" and not much else. It's almost certainly the most powerful Android TV box, but android tv...

Corsair H105 240mm Extreme Perf. AIO CPU Cooler Review @ [H]

It uses PWM fans and comes with a Y-adapter that is also PWM. Plug fans into CPU header so they aren't running 100% all the time and plug the pump into a regular fan header. Not sure why this wasn't reviewed that way. It's obnoxiously loud at 100% but there's not really any reason for it to...

Battlefield Hardline Video Card Performance Preview @ [H]

I have to agree. They may be the same engine, but DA:I is a much more demanding game than BF4/Hardline.

    Crossfire 290X at 1080P

I have a 290x+290 and game at 1080p/60hz. I don't regret it a bit. Sure, the 290 series doesn't stretch its legs until you get up into higher resolutions, but they're still great performers and at their current price it's hard to say no. I can max out every game I have, and can use VSR in...

    GTX 970 flaw

This is not an issue with the 980, only the 970. To keep it very simple, the 970 is a cut-down 980, and the issue is caused by one of the disabled parts.

Are you planning to buy a 4K monitor for gaming soon?

When I can get a 24-27" 4K display with an IPS panel and freesync for around $500-600, I'll bite.

Geforce GTX 660 and 750 Opinions

Either of those will be more than adequate for games like LoL, Dota2, etc. There's an MSI 750ti on newegg for $99 after rebate, and a couple evga 750ti's for 109 after rebate as well. The 660 is a bit faster but the cheapest one of those looks to be $129 after rebate. My HTPC has a 750...

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 SLI 4K and NV Surround Review @ [H]

I considered that as a possibility, but it'd take some pretty hefty, extended throttling to create a 150W gap.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 SLI 4K and NV Surround Review @ [H]

Were there any oddities with the 290 (non-X) cards during testing? They're usually right on the heels of the 290x in terms of performance and power consumption, but performance is significantly worse here and power consumption is 150W lower than the 290X cards. The power consumption is really...

    Dragon Age Inquisition benchmarks.

Waaaaaoooooooow (Hi, I'm the referenced friend) My numbers were at 1080p and I only had time to run one test this morning. I'll update with more numbers when I get a chance. I have a 290 on the way to crossfire with the 290x, but I imagine there will be plenty of benchmarks from others by...
