Well if all goes well I just managed to snag an Asus rog maximus vii for $99. Hopefully I don't get trolled on this either. I'm hoping I just get really lucky for once!!! Guess I gotta wait til the goods arrive.
So I was cruising along on ebay when I came across a really good deal on a CPU. It was a brand new in box Intel I5 4690K. The price said $112 shipped. Is this to good to be true or is this a common price now with these chips?
FYI... I already bought it.
Unfortunately where I live, which is in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, I am about 6-8 hours from a micro center. Most of my purchases will be made on internet. I wish best buy was more affordable as they are the only place locally that has good computer components.
I realize that the h100 will be over kill but what the heck. I should be able to produce $100 to $150 if need be for a motherboard as I am also purchasing a 4690k from my friend.
I'm thinking about purchasing a g3258 for a budget build. What motherboards with be best for overclocking. I may use my corsair h100i to aid in cooling.
I believe you should post this in the general hardware tab and follow the sticky guidelines they provide to get the best feedback regarding your build. Best of luck :)
I'm thinking about getting an Intel core i5 4690k and a z97 motherboard. Any ideas on a decent motherboard that will allow oc and sli with hopefully a 780 or 780ti.
I'm willing to trade my gently used xbox one and $$$ if need be for 780 or >
So is the gtx 800's actually coming out next month our did they get delayed till sometime next year. I have read and heard both stories. Just curious is all
You guys think it is better to get a 780 or 780 ti now or wait and see what the 800 series brings to the table. I'm so ansy to buy a new card I can hardly contain myself.
I so wanna go to gaming convention so I can actually hang around with people who enjoy gaming and electronics. My wife gets sick of me always talking about computers and games and blah blah blah. Thank god I got a son now to have as an excuse to go to these :D
Looking at your build definitely makes me wonder about water cooling as an option. I have absolutely no experience with this but I am one who likes to get the most out of what I have. Plus it makes your computer look that more badass!!
With your two 780's SC, what resolution do you play on? I want to get a 2560x1440 monitor but also want room for improvement to 4K later down the road w/o having to upgrade the graphics card again.
I'm going to be purchasing the new larger resolution monitor around the last week in September or first week in October. The rest of the components I will be getting beforehand most likely.
I'm definitely looking at purchasing this monitor when it comes available. I told my wife about it and she totally thinks I'm crazy for wanting to purchase a monitor at this price.
She proceeded to tell me I need to start hanging out with more pc gamers so that I can at least share my...
ASUS CM6870-US-2AA is technically the computer I bought but with a few differences. I put in a thermaltake tr2 600w psu. It apparently has 1600mhz ram( it's some stock variation). As for the case, like I said it as an asus essentio series computer. But I would like to get a larger case because...
I'm also happy to start from scratch and just build a whole new computer that is capable of gaming on 2560x1440 with all the bells and whistles while still having room to upgrade sometime in the future. My budget is still in the $1500-2000 range and more if need be. I love using eBay to get...
I'm looking to upgrade my computer or possibly build a new one here shortly, primarily for gaming. My budget will be around $1500-2000. I currently live in the upper peninsula of Michigan.I'm hoping to transition into 2560x1440 resolution. My current setup is nothing special. Asus 23" monitor...
