Well it came and after speaking directly to the firm to ensure I recieved a v2, they sent me a v1. So it's going straight back. Unbelievable.
Novatech that was for anyone who's interested. I would AVOID.
I've ordered one now, interested to see how it is. I dont think I'll be able to use the strobing when using it on consoles at 60hz, but the ghosting should be an improvement on my current Viewsonic, plus I do game on my PC quite a bit so that 144hz goodness won't be wasted..
Is the flicker as bad as CRT 60hz? If it is I wont even be able to use it anyway....
Can I ask what made you want to get the monitor if you don't use it much for purely gaming? I hear bad reviews for this model for anything other than motion related stuff!! Which kind of sucks, I hate blurring...
That's awesome, I really want this monitor even though it's been such a ball ache trying to get hold of one so far. Do you use the strobing feature with a console on 60hz? How is it on the eyes? I'm hoping it doesn't give me a headache using it with consoles..
They told me it was v1 before it got here and to refuse to sign for it.. So it was meant to go straight back to them. They said yesterday it still hasn't come back to them and they would ring me today about what was going on.
They didn't.
Nope, not over here in the UK. I tried ordering from CCLonline after contacting them to ask about the v2 firmware. They said yes, they had v2s. So I ordered one, and was then told - actually, no. They're v1s. Was not amused.
After a few phone calls they've conceeded that they have no idea what...
Good luck finding a v2 firmware version. Retailers don't seem to have a clue when questioned about it and Benq are completely ignorant and reluctant to help them out. I tried to order a v2 of this monitor Monday and it turned out to be a v1 even after being told otherwise. Ridiculous.
