I looked on their site and did find a link to the grommet set :http://www.corsair.com/en-us/rubber-grommets-for-obsidian-series-800d
It was buried away, but It looks like they still sell them.
I'd like to get the USB3 upgrade, but that looks like it went the way of the Dodo.
Steve,
Would you take any networking equipment? I think I got a 16 port 10/100 switch I don't need anymore.
I got some other stuff I can send you way as well, (C2D Laptop, ram, etc.). Just got to see what I got and get it boxed up.
If you have some standoffs the same height, you could cut off the threads and use some J-B Weld or J-B Quick to attach them to the case where you need them.
Me and my GF ordered 1 each from BN, and so far the order is still pending to ship 8/24.
Didn't get a cancel message yet, so we shall see what happens...
Arcygenical: That's a great guide, I will keep this for future use.
One question: Will it matter if I don't do the heat curing, and just let it do it's thing at room temperature? If I use the oven for curing, my better half will void my warranty
Thanks again to all for any tips or...
I'm hoping I can get a little advice about painting.
I've checked out a few tutorials and understand the basics and techniques people use, but have a few questions that weren't really answered in those guides, and hope to get some tips to make things easier. It's my first attempt at...
I did something like this a little while back for a rack I did in my basement. I took a 2U tray and JB Welded standoffs on the tray and mounted a motherboard, PSU, and hard drive.
IIRC about EIA specs, the tray must be able to hold 50 lbs. on it's flange (Ears), which you should be able to...
You should be fine using just the standoffs to elevate the board. For the Hanging Garden, I used them and close end standoffs and JB Quick to secure them to the tray. One thing with the Gruber tray is it's power coated and the JB doesn't stick well, but a quick Dremeling fixed that...
If you're looking for some rackmount cases, check this guy out as he always has something good up there at a decent price.
Also of interest, this guide is mostly about rails, but has some rack basics. I used it when I was building the Hanging Garden.
80/20 is some awesome stuff to play with. Like Stuey said, if you have imagination you can have fun with it.
Check out their site and look at the solutions in action page to see what you can do with it.
