NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

That picture was from an old build, and I'm not using those 3.5" hard drives any more. I do have an SSD and a 5400 rpm laptop drive mounted together behind the front panel, but they're not blocking the NF-F12 that I have for intake. My current setup on the side bracket is 1 NF-A15 for the CPU...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Yeah, thats the same tutorial I watched. I made the mistake of not enabling the voltage control settings. I'm still getting the same temps though. Also, I can't get the last point on the voltage graph to do down. No matter what I do, the last point (the 1200mv one) always goes up to like...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Nice! Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'm using MSI Afterburner and I made sure that all the voltages were correct. Is there another setting or something? Maybe I'm just unlucky and my card is weird.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Working on it! =P I might undervolt the i7 too. I got my 1080 Ti to run at 1823mhz @ .862v, but it still hits 84c. The fanspeed never goes about 50%, and it doesn't sound that loud. Any tips? EDIT: Forgot to mention that at default settings the card doesn't go above 50% fanspeed either, so I'm...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

For my current system, my i7 8700 temps hit about 75c after gaming for an hour. When I convert movies in Handbrake my temps go up to about 83c and sometimes 85c on a really hot day. My GPU temps hit 84c but thats because I'm using a Founders Edition 1080 Ti.

That picture that he posted is from my old build. The cooler is the Noctua C12P-SE14. I don't have those components anymore, but I'm still using the Noctua cooler on my i7 8700. I also swapped out the fan with the NF-A15 PWM. Here's another shot of that build from a different angle:

Thanks for the response! It turns out that the 1080 Strix that I got had a faulty cooler. I ended up getting another one and it works a lot better. My temps stay at 70c (instead of 80c) and the fan speed is lower. I'm currently experimenting with my fans inside my case and undervolting my 1080...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hi everyone, I have a question about noise. I just picked up a GTX 1080 Strix and installed it into my M1. Is this graphics card supposed to be loud? While gaming it sounds almost like a leaf blower at 55% fan speed. My brother's 1070 Strix is much quieter in his M1. From what I've read, the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hi everyone. Its been a while since I last posted in this thread. Good job with all the new builds, some of them look real sick. Had a quick question. Does anyone know if two 140mm fans would fit on the side bracket? I currently have a Noctua NF-A15 and an NF-F12 next to each other like this...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

The picture with the two Corsair fans on the bottom is a really old pic. I purchased 1 Noctua NF-F12 and put it under the GPU, and the rear fan was a Noctua NF-S12A (had one around from a previous build). I removed the rear fan (the NF-S12A) and gave it to my brother because he needed a new fan...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

It wasn't too tight, I just decided not to install it because it wasn't necessary. I actual removed the rear fan because I found that it made my cpu and gpu temps rise (oddly enough) and I might add it back in and mess around with the fan setup a bit. The gpu rests on the fan grill and it...

I just got off the phone with them. They told me that Sun City Ca was the shipping info that they received. I'm located in Santa Ana Ca, and I used the same Paypal account that I used to place my order of my ver1 NCASE M1.

I should have mentioned it in my original post, but I am using a 780 Ti with the stock cooler. Its not overclocked and it is using the blower fan. I posted this pictures a couple pages back and I thought I'd post it again so you guys can see the layout of my system.

Pshhh I wish! I'm really tempted on doing just that but I feel like waiting for big Maxwell! :p Besides, money is a bit tight for me at the moment and that's why I'm thinking about just holding on to my 780 Ti.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Is anyone here using an air cooler and the hard drive bracket and having problems with temps? It seems like a lot of heat is coming off of my GTX 780 Ti and is creeping up on my Noctua C12P SE14 and my hard drives. Also, does anyone have a 3.5 hard drive under their gpu? If so, how are the temps...

Same here. My brother ordered an M1 ver 2 for me. He received the first email but has not received the second one as of this post. Would really like an update on the situation.

Awesome. Thanks for the link! Dust really isn't a problem for me. I purchased a set of Demciflex filters and they seem to be doing their job pretty well. I might mount the H100i with the fans on the inside because it does look like it would be easier to clean.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I have another couple questions for everyone. Well, this one is mainly for those who are currently using/or planning on using a 240mm all in one cooler or custom water loop. How did you guys mount the radiator in the case? I mean, I know how to do it, but I'm talking about the fans in...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

You're welcome! And right?! Right when you're about to fix a problem suddenly another one appears lol. :p I might sell my two drives and get a single 3 tb drive and partition it. That way I can put my H100i in my system and not worry about temps. Then when the 600 watt SFX psu comes out I can...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Its not too bad actually. It runs pretty warm, but the highest I get while gaming is about 81c on a really hot day. I ran the benchmark for about 30 minutes like a week ago (the screenshot is from today) and I didn't see any throttling. I really want to put my Corsair H100i in my system, but...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hello everyone! Thought I'd share a problem that just occured. My PC shut down on my and restarted while I was playing RAGE, and when it booted back up I got the Asus Power Surge Protection Unstable Power Supply error during post. Could it be because I upgraded my 4770k to the 4790k? I never had...

NCASE M1 version changelog and suggestions thread

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but how about adding support for a lock? Like a Kensington Security Slot? I know that not everyone might use it, but I think some that will might appreciate it.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I've had my case since December, and I absolutely love it. My only complaint is that my top and side panels are crooked and they're not flushed with the inner chassis. I ignored them at first, but now my ocd is getting to me and I'm a little disappointed with that. The top panel came screwed in...

NCASE M1 picture and build general log

I have a quick question. Will the Noctua C12P SE14 fit will ram that has tall heatsinks? And can you still use the hard drive cage with both the Noctua and taller ram? I have an H100i that I'm thinking about putting inside my M1, but if I can keep both of my hard drives then I might just buy the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Awesome, thanks for the answers guys! I know I asked a similar question a couple pages back but I just wanted to make sure. I have an H100i, and I might just partition a 2tb drives into 2 seperate partitions and mount it on the bottom. If I decide to keep both the 1tb drive and the 2tb drive...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Do you guys know if the Noctua NH-C12P SE14 will fit on an Asus Rog Impact without having to remove the hard drive cage? I'm a bit worried that It might not fit because of the bigger fan. Also, which one do you guys think is the better cooler, the Noctua NH-C12P SE14 or the Noctua NH-L12? I...

Ah, ok. Thanks for the information! Yeah I'm currently using the hard drive cage and the Silverstone SFX power supply. I currently have 2 3.5 drives installed on the side, and an SSD installed on the bottom. I have an M2 SSD coming in the mail real soon, so I'm going to remove the SSD from the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Does anyone have any recommendations for a cpu cooler that would fit this case? I'm currently running an i7 4770k on an Asus Rog Impact with the stock Intel cooler, and I would like to get a decent overclock on this thing. (Not something crazy, but a simple overclock) Currently, I'm looking at...
