I tried this test:

Not sure how accurate it is. I see no dithering. Do you know of any other tests?
Just did this:

I...
I just did the clock test, on this display, and my laptop's display...out of about 10-15 tests... highest was 51ms, and lowest was 31. Took photos at 1/2000" at 1600iso.
Not sure how scientific that is.
Just ran a Spyder4 calibration. Here is the advanced analysis I ran afterwards. No idea how accurate it is.

I got this one:

Honestly, I had no real "failure" issues with my 39" Seiki... only thing I disliked so much was 30hz, and the terrible sound output.
I got 1920x1080@75hz to work anything beyond that I get an OSD msg saying that mode isn't supported. When I do 2560x1440@30/60/75 It shows the screen but it's scaled to 1080. However, I'm still having issues of 60hz not sticking, so I wouldn't trust any of this as normal.
One other thing I...
What do you do that this would effect you?
Once I have my 30/60hz issue sorted I'll start testing other standard resolutions beyond 60hz. My 39" Seiki can do 120 at 1920x1080. Would be surprised if this couldn't do it.
I'd say the screen is between glossy and matte.
I do graphic design for a living... I would have never noticed unless someone told me to test it.

The little distortion line in the middle of the magenta is the the clear edge of the cd. Photos of top and right.
Welp. I'm at a loss. I can't get it to switch back to 60hz. It randomly does and doesnt. Upgraded drivers, downgraded drivers... nothing. Hopefully it's just the cable, new one is coming tomorrow.
I did get 60hz to stick in a game though, and that was fantastic, but when I came out it popped...
Yeah, I don't have 3840x2160 (native) listed in the lower 'PC' section. If I add it through CRU, restart... it will show up there, but after I hit apply, it vanishes.
Very odd.
If I want to get 60hz back, I need to Desktop Right Click > Screen Resolution > Adavanced Settings > Monitor Tab >...
So here is something odd.
I can get it to work at 60hz, but when I go into a game it defaults down to 30hz every time. In NCP I only have UHD, HD, SD 4kx2k, 3840x2160 (recommended) and that I can only select 30hz. I can't add a custom PC resolution. I get no picture.
When I come out of a game...
Mine just arrived.
First impressions without touching a thing... wayyy nicer than my Seiki 39. I am however wondering if it comes with a remote... there was nothing in the box.
Just checked the manual. Yup, no remote. That's kind of a small annoyance.
This firmware does not give any audio from the onboard speakers, on the 39" model... I just rolled back to my old firmware and audio is working. Bummer, this newer firmware produces a better picture.
Are their any audio drivers that could be swapped with the older firmware into the new...
And you're not having any audio issues using this firmware? I installed this same one and I no longer get any audio from the built in speakers, regardless of what input or device I'm using.
This firmware fixed my blanking issues, however, I now have no audio. Hah!
Awesome seeing progress!
*EDIT I just tested other inputs and I'm not getting any audio... is there something in the engineer or factory menu that enables/disables audio?
I just switched over to nvidia, When I hook my 39" seiki up, the resolution/desktop itself looks fine, but when I open up windows or menus they're all in the 1080 sizing just scaled up. Not familiar with enough with nvidia control panel.
The screen is also, turning on and off, blanking...
