Bethesda, EA, THQ Nordic all need to take a lesson from this. No 8chan, duffel bags, & weak-sauce games. just "MSI: Yeah sure, we'd take a bullet for you."
I liked my Vita overall, but wasn't impressed with the memory card situation...you know, just like EVERYONE else. Traded it in for a Switch since i thought Nintendo was going to do a better job, then i learned that nintendo struggles with online/internet/social aspects & since my last nintendo...
Think i may still have an old 518 floating around in a box still. Think it was decent enough, but i don't recall enough nostalgia about it to require new tech in an older body design. While about all my peripherals are Logitech due to the usually high reviews they get, i'm by & large just a...
As it's going i can't imagine that Bethesda's release date & patch schedule is doing them any favors... To release mid November & drop 1 patch after launch then let things sit over a fairly major US holiday weekend where quite a few people would have both the time & desire to escape their...
I find it kinda-sorta OK-ish. As i mentioned elsewhere on teh intarwebz it's a somewhat mediocre game elevated to kinda fun levels by the fact i can coop in the fallout universe with my wife, not a great game that i can coincidentally coop with my wife. But just over the weekend the...
I really like the hardware for portable use, it's replaced my PSP & Vita nicely, but i'm mostly let down by the lack of UI features & polish. Useful friend chat-nope, themes-nope, any sort of apps-nope. It's super bare-bones right now & that disappoints. I'm also a bit letdown with the...
*ahem*...So they're testing your Mom?
Can't believe i'm the 1st one here to post that, is it a holiday or internet being bombarded with IoT bot attacks again?
But at the same time they KNEW they would be brought in & raked over the coals, so at the very least the guys at the top needed to say "Pass the word, make sure this can't happen again & get me the bullet points of what IT has done about it."
"Herpaderp i don't know." is not acceptable
They've done a moderate amount of getting into the vita, but it requires firmware 3.60 & there's no way to downgrade a unit back to that from a higher firmware. Also games made after the 3.60 firmware won't run on the older, so anything newer basically can't run on your custom firmware machine...
I enjoyed my vita for quite awhile, but Sony being Sony just kinda burned me out. Memory card prices, system patches that only served to stop piracy & did absolutely nothing for the paying customer experience, then they killed off the NEAR service recently & didn't even un-install it to save...
We'll see. I tried the BL2 "play the exact same game with the lil clumps of enemies in the exact same place over & over & over & over" kool-aid for awhile & got seriously tired of it. Maybe I'm now in the minority as far as MMORPG-ish mechanics. At least BL1 wasn't afraid to just...
What a PITA. GS is already a divisive retailer in the gaming community & this isn't going to help them. Saddest part is that I only heard about this here, not like GS directly sent out notifications to all their customers.
Just talked to a local GS employee & he was told it was more like 200+ stores & he thought they'd be lucky to get 30 days notice if their store was closing.
I do quite a bit @ GS, but that's simply for the Vita physical games that pretty much all other B&M stores have already dropped. I always comparison shop vs Ebay/Amazon & on the games I want GS manages to have an edge price-wise. But I realize that's niche games for a niche console.
So it'll...
"New hardware sales plunged 29%, while new software sales dropped nearly 20%"
But didn't I recently see something about how GS was pressuring employees to sell used to the point that the employees were telling customers that new items weren't in-stock? That would be GS' own damn fault.
I'd think is that MS would WANT the employees to have regular checkups. I mean if they have to watch this full-time, what would that mean for MS if someone started to...enjoy their work... a little too much?
You'd think required regular mental healthcare would be bare minimum ass-covering on...
Yep & the arguments that advances in technology will increase the road's efficiency can be applied to rooftop solar as well since they use all the same tech. This is about the worst possible application of solar panels, but they'll push on with it anyways & piss a ton of money away.
Then when you tell your car to go to "insert location" the car will recommend other places depending on whoever pays the highest for google-car search results. Businesses will have to fall inline, all paying google for higher ad placement or risk going under because the car gently redirects...
I drive a stick in my work car, but it's an old Ford Escort & i'm pretty happy with it vs an auto. I hear coworkers sing the praise of new Electric cars as they'll never wear out since there's so few parts & I sit there thinking "yeah right, car companies have whole teams of engineers designing...
What if someone takes the bj, but leaves the car? Would that make the deal more appealing? I mean we're talking a chevette here...
I saw the ad a few days ago while cruising CL, didn't think it'd become this newsworthy, just business as normal, right?
I'm just waiting for the day when someone comes along & insists on charging extra for the "fast lanes". Folk who don't want to pay will be regulated to the "slow lanes"...now where have I heard this before?
I kid but when it comes to jobs/transportation, a person would really be at the mercy...
Considering what I see driving around me every day & how my company treats any sort of vehicle accidents...I'd say having a good/perfect driving record while racking up that many miles a day is a lot more of a rare skill than folk understand.
Here's hoping they go forward with this & folk stand up & call shenanigans by simply not attending. If there's an immediate attendance feedback they'll quietly change their tune, but that's the only way it'll truly change things.
Just wait until the court cases roll in where your own memories are used against you because "memories stored on (insert location here) aren't protected..blah blah blah"
After going through most the vids on it, there were sure things that didn't make sense to me. To save the 50yo original glue holding the body together, we're going to add metal straps to the inside of the body & screw it all together. Maybe it's just because I'm not a "professional" but some...
I can see Jeep never being able to overcome the perception on this one. No matter what paperwork they come up with to show that it wasn't their fault(legit or otherwise), they'll have a stigma that the 1st death involving their recalled jeep shifter was a promising young actor cut down in his...
While I may or may not agree with your arguments...no matter how you consider a law being bad or needing revisiting does not in any way change the facts of how the law is now. Under how the law is applied now, piracy is treated as theft. Nobody should be surprised in this day & age how...
ahhhh Ace, keeping it classy like always.
I'll just wait & see. While I enjoyed the 1st, the sequel/prequel just didn't do it for me long term. I got damn tired of the "play the exact same game with the exact same enemies in the exact same place every exact same time, but there's replay...
No surprise. Reality is a lot more complicated than a small article on the internet no matter how much the human mind wants to shave things down to a=good/b=bad. Guess what? Not all Union workers are total crap who deserve to lose their jobs. Guess what? There are some that are. The...
I'm betting the FBI had the backup plan for access, but was pushing this particular case as a testbed for trial by public opinion as well as legal precedent. When things weren't quite going as expected on both fronts they back peddled before the chance of it setting precedent not in their...
I don't particularly have an issue with this, although it depends on how much content does finally get added to the SP. I can understand Beth's decision to go this way though, I watched Borderlands2 SP come down & all the bitching that went on when they added additional content outside their...
Ditto. While I won't get into too much into details about the preview incase someone somewhere gets fussy, I just thought the COOP-side was Ok-ish.
Considering GBX's love of having folk play the exact same game over & over & over & over for...
