    Fable Legends DX12 benchmark

Why is this tread called Fabel Legends DX12 benchmark ? Shouldnt it be renamed to, something abaut the powerbill, depending on what grapic card you have ? On topic, 980ti, does good on Anandtech vs the Fury, but consider a couple of things: And in some treads that actually are abaut this...

Hehe, yes, its lone wolf. :), guess thats why i like it, but that darn coil whine, but well the saphire almost hadnt it, and so far at the tread for nano owners it doesnt "hear " so bad, maybe i get it, but well im in no rush, so i have to see what owners do report on that issue.

Let's Talk about Fairly Testing GPU Performance R.E. Warming Up GPUs

Well, i wanted the Nano, but coilwhine is a nono, but the cooler on a card is very importen, dosnt matter if its AMD or Nvidia, so it should be tested, cause it can impact a lot.
  17. S

    Are you buying a Nano

640$ isnt really that much, at least not for us that comes from the stoneages, where you had to pay 4-6000$ for a pc, it just have to tick all the importend marks.
  18. S

    Are you buying a Nano

Ofcourse there is a market for SFF, many of us nerds are getting old, like me and Kylie, (well he still kling to as big as they get), but performance is one thing, but not all, style, looks of the case, allso known as WAF, is darn importent, money isnt so much. And yes, laptops are SFF, so SFF...

Well the nano is in stock here, and if it hadnt been for the coil whine, i would have order it.
  20. S

    Are you buying a Nano

Well i have to say no, not becouse of the price, that one is okey for its performance, in the niche it is aimed at, but when almost all review samples have a terribel coil whine, argh, makes me mad, That is just........."lots of swearing"

    R9 Nano Review Thread

And seriously, it must be a gremlin among AMDs engeneers, the fury X , pumpnoise, the nano, coil whine. IT IS NOT ACETABEL, dam it.
  22. S

    R9 Nano Review Thread

Well its not the price that is so bad, but that darn coil whine is a party pooper, :( Becouse, this niche it is aimed at have other demands , than just performance, and i do think amd knows that , and tried it, 42db as a starting point is not to bad, but coil whine, that is just bad, bad, bad...

Let's Talk about Fairly Testing GPU Performance R.E. Warming Up GPUs

This kind of information is usful in a fair gpu test, and it shows how losly just an open bench test is. its from harware.fr It shows how important the cooler is, same gpu can act like 2 diffrent cards, deepending of the cooler.

AMD, Roy Taylor, the Nano, and the Press @ [H]

You read things how they are, period. And that is okey , as long as you know that. H finds out what card is fastest , thats it, and its open bench, have always been, noise , powerconseption and that stuff , does matter very littel, if any at all. They give a pice of the pussel, but thats all...

Let's Talk about Fairly Testing GPU Performance R.E. Warming Up GPUs

Well H s review metology is just a littel pice of the pussel, it only tell you how good the card is in an open bench. It tells nothing abaut if the cooler is good enough, once it is in the case. And there are tests on the net, that shows, excatly that many cards, both amd, nvidia trottels...
  27. S

AMD, Roy Taylor, the Nano, and the Press @ [H]

And as a sidenote, i already knew the conclusion from [H], not because they favor Nvida, or are biased against AMD. Plainly becouse they are biased against them self, meening, WHAT I THINK a grapic card SHELL be, THAT is best for all, NOTHING else matter. hehe , so H is easy, when you know...

    Nano water blocks.

If your answearing me, the answear is quite simple , since im not familiar with watercooling, but i do know a radiator have a limit how many watts it can cool, and i want i so quiet that you shell not hear it at all, 200w diffrence is a lot. And well i do like that case, and was hoping some...

    Nano water blocks.

Out of courosity, watercooling have never been my poisen, using as much aleminium cooling fins, heatpipes, slow rpm fans that the space is in SFF cases has been mine, in order to get it as silent as possibel. And sometimes even underclocking, goal has always been that u shell not notice that the...

E Whats the fun with ordinary builds, nothing [H]ard abaut slapping ordinary parts into a case and done with that, ordinary is boring. But the fondation has to be there for a fun build, and well it isnt there with 28nm GPU, sadly. Edit: Beeing in the 1% is what is fun, but 175w can maybe be...
  33. S

    R9 Nano Review Thread

Performance wise even a tad slower, but u have round 100w less to cool, wich will result in almost silent. And still can go inside a slim case with limited airflow. But yes, i pay extra for that. If it hadnt been for the coil whine, it would been a cooler almost like that i would mount on it...
  34. S

    R9 Nano Review Thread

We totally agree that the nano chip with that cooler have a chance of getting silent, afterall that cooler can handel 275w. But almost evry review reported coil whine :( Put it on the 175w nano. get rid of the coil wine, i i trow my money at it. But now that could maybe be done with the 980...

    R9 Nano Review Thread

:) you got it, is there any reason they should be bigger ? The Nono is just a glimpse of next generation form factor. Sadly 28nm cant support low enogh tdp. But its a glimpse into the future.
  36. S

    R9 Nano Review Thread

Yes, 28nm. cant provide what is neccesary. even with HBM, nvidia would not be abel to create a real High end card with low enough wattage, we who wants it, just have to wait, as we painently have done for years :(

    R9 Nano Review Thread

Well it kinda does, but a littel history lesson is provided bye : After cards needed more and more w, it got impossibel to build a small stylish and quiet rig, i was hoping the Nano would make that possibel again, coolers like u linked to was just one trick we used, preferd cases was cases...

    R9 Nano Review Thread

Well the price isnt so bad, guys like me and im not alone , has been around since the beginning of the pc era. Why is that ?, that one is placed perfect, and that is becouse the Nano is shorter than most itx mb, and it also allows for as slim cases as the card is high.

HM, well im not so happy, performance is as good as i expected, but it does not tick the silent mark. But well it was that limitedaccess guy on this forum that made me realise that 175w, is just to much. But its a sign of things to come, but well i guess im not so happy. It just have to need...
