    NVidia Titan V - observations

Hi there. Haven't been around for many years - too many other things in life .... :) Please feel free to add your own observations to this thread. Here my initial FAH observations: I got a Titan V and a 1080 Ti. Put them in one of my older folding systems and just restarted the rig to see what...

    Long time not here

I just wanted to show a sign of life after staying away for approx a year and share how my HW had been used since I left the FAH crowd in these 12 months. Reading through some of the threads the departure from the FAH project seems to be a wider spread movement - showing the complexity and...

mtnduey, only 4 days left to 1 billion points

Uff, Don't know why I had to do a multiyear "masterplan" how to get to decent contributions. That there is another possible route can be seen with mtnduey's journey towards his first 1 billion mark. He started only in August (don't mix it up - August this year :) ) and if all things go...

    NVidia GTX 780 Ti

Got my GTX 780 Ti today. Tried this afternoon to run some folding WU, but it wasn't included in the GPUs.txt file. Thanks to the ff team for quickly expanding the file to include the card. It is now working on its first units. You will be pleasantly surprised :) Based on approx 20% of...

Oct 13th: Gentlemen, mark your calendar

Wanted to give the community a heads up of one member's final sprint towards the allways impressive 1 billion points mark. Not long ago, brilong joined the H team in April this year. I don't know about others, but to me it looks like a new record is in the making. It is very, very impressive...

    IvyBridge Xeons: Folding performance

I thought that people might be interested to collect folding performance data of the new Intel Ivy Bridge Xeons. Given that there are quite a few CPU models, let's collect them in this thread. I can share some E5-2697v2 numbers with a 8104 work unit. Sometimes there are quite high...

4P reality: peak vs. avg performance

Outing myself, I have to confess that hanging around here at the [H], the 4P bug bite me a while ago. :) Obviously, I was intrigued by an "1 mio ppd i4P" system and so it happened to be built based on all the excellent info available here. Due to the heat over here, the only system running...

    P7810

One of my AMD 7970 (GE) picked up a P7810 unit today. For those who are interested: TPF (P7810) is 2m30s. According to the bonus calculator this equates to 76k ppd. To compare: the very same card achieved 105k ppd with P8900 units ppd of P7810 seems to be approx 72% of P8900 on this AMD...

    (rumor) NVidia GTX 780

As of now just in the rumor department. http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-780-geforce-gtx-770-retail-images-leaked-specifications-confirmed/ But if true, the potential announcment of a GTX 780 with these specifications will likely further the GPU "agenda" in folding. A quick back of...
