I find magnetic storage quite useful still. But that is mainly do to the price. My NAS isn't capable nor used for the speeds that SSDs can produce. I'd like to see some ssds that were less speed focused and more geared towards a NAS use case.
My only problem with Amazon is that while I still have free 2 day shipping. It seems to take longer for items to actually ship as they did a few months ago.
On the other hand. I can now buy a nice powerful notebook, without the size/weight/heat hassle of having a high-end GPU onboard. And have my GAMING GPU sitting safely at home, not adding to the expense of my laptop. When I want to sit and game, I go plugin to my GPU and away I go.
For a 1 time use viewing that I need a $150 box to use... No Thanks.
However, I would be willing to pay $50 for Netflix-esque streaming from Theatrical Release until DVD release. Then get a DRM free copy or a Blu-Ray.
Like a pre-order with a bonus.
No... just the amount of ADS and the Extra junk that is shoved in your face since it went to the Metro style with the 360.
This is supposed to be an entertainment device, not another ad serving machine.
I have Aurora as the dashboard on my 360 at home. It's PERFECT. List of games, list of...
I have no problem with DLC...
Assuming:
It's not pay to win, day 1 addons or just other junk.
The first DLC i remember was Halo2 map packs, they expanded the playability of the game and was well worth the investment.
They should make an Industry standard way to add a desktop GPU.
That way you can have a decent i5 with the intel graphics for the road, then get down to some decent gaming when you aren't.
Exactly... most pirates understands the risks and play accordingly.
Most people are going to get virus and malware infections from drive by sites and toolbars long before they get it from pirating material.
While probably true, without manufacturing or a willingness to invest in infrastructure from the government or private sector all the money is getting concentrated at the top and not getting spread around.
The biggest reason that the middle class is shrinking is that the US doesn't manufacture as much as it used to.
Things go shipped oversea under the guise of keeping product prices down. HAHAHA what a joke all that did was gut our economy, and widen the gap between the top and bottom.
The free...
I'm really beginning to think password strength is becoming irrelevant. I mean... maybe if plaintext passwords didn't get leaked everyday it would matter. But a 45 character password is just as easy to copy/paste as a 6 character one.
Silly me... I thought this might be governments finally seeing that huge companies are doing everything in their power to avoid anything that costs money.
You know things like paying workers or taxes.
This is just like the War on Drugs all over again.
Instead of pissing money away trying to combat piracy, why not make the legal methods easier to access?
Just my crazy thoughts here.
What's next... mandated purchases to make sure you're not a pirate?
Here's my problem with the data caps:
Yes LTE only has so much available.
However... the second you pay extra the physical limitation isn't an issue any more. How does that work?
