Managed to get fixed with help from guys in the Oracle forum. System now boots fine if I disable Intel VT-D in the bios; -> Integrated IO Configuration -> IIO Revision L1/P0/E1/NO ->Intel VT-d [Disabled] ;)

I have upgraded the bios to 2.0a on my x9sae board, now Solaris 11.1 hangs on boot up. Has anyone experienced this problem?
