I like it, but I dont fully understand why there are connectors at 3 out of the 4 sides.. 2/4 makes more sense imo. We'll see what they come up with!
Also how will this be powered?
And are those m2 slots in the center? They have weird screw holes...
In my jonsbo v3 the temps are around 40-45 °c and the cables get far more manageable!
Imo the cables arent even that bad.
I love the psu although I wish they added an adapter plate. Costs them $2 tops, costs us $10 with shipping etc
I wouldnt ever use a AIO myself anyway :)
What would you consider to be the best fan location for such a case? Bottom, front or top?
Have you considered such a build for ncase?
Could you please render and measure the smallest possible build when making a layout similar to the osmi? And then the possible different fan locations? Perhaps even with 120 aio support?
I get the feeling many users like to see an itx case with sfx psu and 170mm gpu. But I think it is worth...
I havent seen many heatsinks on server/ws motherboards in general, and those should be having a higher workload then the average gamer, so I'm guessing those heatsinks on gaming oriented motherboards are just gimmicks..
Atx psu are almost always more silent, they are cheaper and can fit more components to manage riple control, voltage regulation etc. And it would mean the case is more easy to sell towards mainstream users.
Also you wouldnt lose much space.. Example would be the height of the sugo13 vs sugo5.
I think what you are looking for is something between the jonsbo u1 and jonsbo U2, basicly a jonsbo u1,5. Sunmilo makes a u1,5.
I would like to see a case like saper rendered, but with a little extra height to allow for atx psu's.
I think the extra heigth is around 20mm, so take 10mm towards...
If you are getting a 6500, I would recommend looking into some other then the z170 chipsets.
I myself will probably buy the MSI H110I pro paired with either 6500 or 6700 depending if I rly rly want HT.
Those arent even itx and require an external adapter...
For sfx:
Jonsbo V2 perhaps? Lian li q12?
Atx:
Jonsbo v3?
Look at the first post in the ssf club at overclock.net for others :)
I'm NOT talking about the length of the PSU at all in this topic. Just the height (at 86mm defined by the ATX standard). You'll always have atleast 170mm length due to ITX size in this layout, enough for quite a few ATX psu's.
Convection wont matter, not even 1 degree difference, and if you'll find 1 degree difference it'll pretty much be within a 95% confidence interval.
Anyway, new dimension is 162mm width, that can house a 86mm ATX PSU? I don't know why you would even ditch it.
And the reason I would get an...
Why would you remove the option for atx psu's?
If I chose to sacrifice cpu cooler space for atx instead of sfx then that should be an option?
You wont have to make the case bigger, just include a atx-> sfx bracket that offsets the sfx psu to the side? The width of the case is determined mostly...
1. Or cryorig c1/c7, or noctua l9i
2. Whats wrong with m2? They also have slower and cheaper drives available?
3. What does that matter? Imo bottom you can vent more ez then top (looks/practicality)
Anyway this is just a jonsbo v3+ with a fan mount. And no atx support. I do think adding atx...
I'm rather sure it also fits ATX psu's. It seems like it's a great alternative to the SG03 mini, with IMO a better PSU placement, and even better looks. I also think it will be more silent.
And you can remove the HDD cage and allow for bigger sized CPU coolers. Also no constraints for graphics...
Im with edz on this.. No such thing as convection with such a small case.. CPU and GPU fans alone will negotiate it.
Sick looking case, but I dislike a power brick myself. Going with a jonsbo v3 for my next build.
Why cant you design the front plate bending like they do on some of the v series;
http://www.lian-li.com/tw/files/2013/05/v600f-10.jpg
Kind of hard to describe, but they are able to bend a panel that already has been bend the other way!
No clue why they didn't use this layout in the first revision.
That was such a badly designed layout for an amazing interior.
Things I dont like;
4 front USB? Headphone/mic in front?
2 usb3 would be plenty imo.
They could interfere with the psu?
No vent option for psu on top.
They think the...
I prefer the logo on the stand.
I also like the stripes edz added, but then again I also love the clean and plain front.
Perhaps you could integrate those stripes with the odd slot?
Front USB can be usefull for a lrpc, I don't think headphone plugs are.
Probably like power switch on front more...
Love the latest render!
My only improvements would be a power button up front, but users can do that themselves if they like and I would also prefer sfx psu, but I know this has been discussed before.
Was it possible to mount a sfx psu if it is removed from its case?
Judging from the internal pictures that have been posted im sure the external slot can be optical.
I think it would be a nice option to have an odd installed in a lrpc.
Not everyone has access to Netflix etc.
I would still buy this without the odd most likely, just prefer it added instead...
Not sure if this has been suggested, but can the USB ports be located towards the bottom, under the psu?
Or will the psu power cable interfere?
I assume sfx-l will be supported? Will the usb3 cable for the external USB ports still be so stiff?
Given that you only have about 6cm to work...
If you use a flexible riser, why not flip the gfx card?
This would allow for the power connectors to be towards the psu.
And ventilation holes to be at 1 side.
So you can use lower feet?
Where are the 2,5" drives located? Couldnt 1 be turend into a slim odd slot?
Like you said, it will be a lrpc, and some people still buy dvd's or blurays?
I think using an external odd would ruin all the cosmetics.
Also think I prefer the look of the USB ports on top, like with the angled case...
How about a HDD and slim odd rack above the GPU?
I would use this as a HTPC, and don't feel like getting an external ODD, or external HDD for my movie collection.
Also I would prefer that the entire GFX card is vented, as most cards don't use reference heatsinks, or have the same length.
A rack...
As mentionned, the Plextor m6e is pcie based.
And AFAIK that is also limited to 2x? So no use for more pcie lanes besides perhaps the lower latencies?
The power circuitry and components used will be the main difference.
I'm not sure how big of a difference the audio will be though. Coming...
Could you perhaps render it allong with a FD Node 304?
Seems like the layout is pretty much the same, would be interested to see these 2 next to each other!
Currently own a lian li pc v600fx, but would like to downsize!
I know! That isn't my card, it's just someone with a similar build.
The backplate should overlap the screws around the GPU.
And the screw provided with the backplate, going towards the waterblock could also fit the stock cooler right? So those 4 screws would 'sandwish' the GPU between the...
Hey,
Before you fill up your waterloop, could you please check if the EK backplate would fit the stockcooler? Or any non stock aircooler?
The backplate seems to be installed with 4+2 screws, 4 arround the socket going down towards the CPU cooler, so might need a little longer screws and 2...
