I just noticed something interesting with my SX500-LG's fan. I am using this PSU in a NAS and at this moment the fan is turning on for ~10s, shuts off for ~5s, and then turns back on and repeats this cycle continuously. Should I be worried that this constant on/off may prematurely kill the fan...

Thanks for the responses. Yeah, in the past I've seen it where leds will stay lit for a bit as it drains. First time I've seen this behavior though, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't just mine acting that way. Good to hear.

Hey can someone tell me if this is normal? I received my SX500-LG and when I plug it in my motherboard's psu indicator led is on (mobo is in the OFF state). Then I flip the SX500-LG's power switch on the back to the OFF position, and the motherboard's leds immediately shut off (Good so far)...

Raja@ASUS, I have a question about the z77-v deluxe motherboard fan headers. The manual really needs better information on the fan ports. It states only this, "The CPU_FAN connector supports the CPU fan of maximum 1A (12W) fan power." It does not say what CPU_OPT and CHA_FAN1-4 are...
