    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

I currently have a 3 monitors setup, one central 28" and two 23" (16/9) in portrait mode at each sides. If I'd buy one, the physical height of the 23" in portrait mode would be equal to the height of this 40" beast ! really, this new 40'' monitor is all what I was waiting for, except a few...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

Actual VT-d "proper" support is yet unknown for many new boards, although this one "appear to be compatible" on paper. Msi is a reputable vendor, their boards works pretty well. But nowadays, the UEFI is a criteria of choice and I won't accept restricted, Asus like, firmwares. I was tempted by...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

Hi, I would certainly not pick a Gigabyte motherboard either since most doesn't work for vt-d (like Asus). The GA-Z77MX-D3H in particular has not been tested yet AFAIK (even if the option is present), it would be interesting to know though. People in the last thread says that the "beta" bios...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

If you need Vpro then yes, Q chipset is required. But VT-d doesn't require VPro, it's the opposite. VT-d was a functionnality of northbridge. Since northbridge is now integrated within the processor, it became a processor requirement (non K). The chipset doesn't do anything now. But the bios...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

This is pathetic to say the least ! Even intel advertise their OWN z77 motherboard (DZ77GA-70K, DZ77BH-55K) compatible with vt-d. I would not be surprised through if the test program would fail on purpose on anything but Qxx, just to sell thoses chipsets ! real life tests show that VT-d works...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

This VT-d stuff is already working for Z77 chipset on Xen or ESXi so it's definitely not an hardware issue. It seem's to me that asus focus more on useless crap (like overclocking) than stability and high end features theses days (granted you'r not alone). But you know, in the end this translate...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

thanks for your response Shikami I wouldn't trust intel own specs because they constantly make mistakes... ex ark site says that no processors support SLAT or EPT but most processors since nehalem support it. Also, intel says that theses motherboard SUPPORT Intel VT with Directed I/O...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

this is a question for Raja@ASUS I'm looking to buy a new z77 system and I have a few requirements. One of them is the VT-d capabilty. I was shocked that none of Asus mobo actually support this especially when Asrock, Msi and Gigabyte have it. Could you explain why and if this will be added...
