I've had my Samsung 712n LCD since Friday now, I absolutely adore it and I had it setup PERFECTLY up until yesterday evening. I reboot my machine and for some reason the LCD recalibrated itself.
Now, I know that it only changed the few options that I don't care about setting manually, but...
Nope, with a 2U case slot 1 CPUs perfectly clear it. My heatsink is from a Compaq server (fan less) which sticks up an extra inch. If it was 1/2 an inch, it'd clear it, but that extra bit forces it to be taller. I tried closing the case w/o the heatsink on and it closes fine.
I need one that's not higher than the CPU itself, so that it fits in a 2U case. I currently have to keep my 2U server's top open to fit the heatsink.
Anyone got one? Not willing to spend much, after all, it's a heatsink :D
Let me know!
Are you sure? Since I talked to the person who previously owned this and he says it's quite soft wide-open. I can't find anything about people complaining.. can you show me some links?
This is from yesterday, but I already started getting the hang of this lens..
Sister holding a tomato.
ISO 400, f/4.5, 1/10s, hand-held.
You can see that as soon as I get away from f/3.5, it gets sharp... oh well, no big deal really.
I have one thought though. If let's say it's dimming out and the power comes back on, would the PWM ramp back up from the point it's at or would it start from the bottom?
Got my lens today! Excellent condition and an awesome lens.
Excuse the image quality, was shot at ISO1600 for some reason (forgot to change it back after last use)..
This is my kitchen's skylight while sitting in a chair..
This lens is damn wide!
I did think of using PWM since that would be a pretty elegant solution. I would most likely use an AVR (ATtiny), but would actually not mind using an opamp or maybe even an LM555 (I believe they can do ramps).
Would you have any suggestions on the opamp design?
I need to gradually fade-in and fade-out a relatively high voltage light (atleast 2A). I looked at a few schematics and the LM317 would be good for the gradual fade-in. However, for the fade-out, how would I use a transistor w/o having it discharge the capacitor that's connected to it's base...
I was deciding on what wide-angle lens to get for my D30 for a while. I looked at the Canon 17-40mm USM L, but due to the 1.6x crop of the D30, I wanted something wider. So I found that the Sigma EX 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 would be best.
I got it second-hand on eBay for $385, which is a good deal...
I guess I will go with that. Or make a script that creates the zone entry and the zone file as well.
Perhaps I can hack at BIND's source a bit to see if I can get it to loop through a directory and then re-write the config.
Can I have BIND look through a directory for all the zones instead of having to specify each zone in named.conf and it's file location?
Haven't found anything via google.
