You can't call a clear winner in OCing because there isn't any guarantee that your card will get any OC. In general the potential is tied with most vanilla 7970 and 680 getting between 1050 - 1250MHz. Headroom is a perception, you have to look at the clock numbers. Stock 7970 925MHz - OC...
