in fact, i was playing a FPS game last night and thinking to myself "hmm, this needs more lens flare"

i don't no squat about CPUs and so forth but what i always imagined would be the next step is a (yet to exist) hardware component splitting the computing load between multiple cores, without software assistance.

in defence of facebook, i think it was a great idea back when it was confined to Harvard or even just Uni's. networking with people you have no reason to network with is what makes FB stupid.

3/4 of quake population is still on F2P accounts, and they seem to be doing well. unless ofc you mind terribly 30sec of ads when you first join a server. and its not P2W - free and prem have the same gameplay. (yeah, i play quake)

@ ballistic (since i don't actually know patents, but i do know copyright) when developing a technology, are you allowed to know whether there's a patent covering it yet, or do you have to get sued to find out?

well i agree with him. it does suck that the system is like this, though. patents shouldn't be issued for vague definitons, like "item which does something in some way, somehow + apple logo" (or "stuff that begins with *i*." i'm not making it up, you know)

most of the stuff on that list (no IOmega Zip ?? wtf?) was pretty good - for some thinsg at least - but the only horrible thing i see is the NGage .. was crap from day 1 to the day it died (and that wasn't a lot of time either).

meh, "we can't ship" isn't such a huge issue (though i agree it's ridiculous), as long as they actually fix the card. Asus got my card 3 times and all three failed to fix it. Should we also say "never asus"?
