the thing is cvar, is the i5's are great for people who want to game, like he said, the i7's only become better when you are recording or encoding your gameplay so there is really no need to spend the extra money on the hyper threading.
the nice thing about the current generation of CPU's is...
usually, i would say go intel, but if you are dead set on these choices i would go with the AMD since it actually benchmarks faster than the intel in almost all cases.
however, with that said... why are you looking to buy a ivy bridge intel instead of spending 10$ more and buying a hasewell...
i do believe the sub forum its posted in is "PC Gaming & Hardware"...... just sayin.
also, Bigger PSU, as stated above, i wouldnt suggest anything below a 750
everything but post processing, and AA are maxed broski, considering when the game was released, and the actual requirements of the game, if my rig couldn't run this on max settings there would be a serious problem.
Love my G700, have noticed zero lag w/ it at all. have pretty much always used logitech gaming mice right back to my good ol MX518 (which still works great)
no wonder your videos are so big, use Dxtory, set H264 as the codec, BAM 20m worth the 1080p video is only 2gb. also, there is close to zero FPS hit. here are some examples
also, be sure to set your framerate cap to 29.97fps for youtube videos

CEVO should have a config file that you can download from their website or list the server settings somewhere in the season 1 section of the CSS section of their website. but if all else fails you can contact their officials they respond pretty quick, especially on thrusdays when matches are...
you know, for the first few years i was learning to play i figured that exact same thing. You know what i learned? when i went to get some lessons and learn various modes and scales my skill as a guitarist increased substantially.
the mini games that rocksmith have built in are actually...
none of the sins expansions have a "single player campaign" in them, its just how they are. Entrenchment and Diplomacy add starbases and diplomatic options and improve the AI and how they interact with various conditions in the game.
as for races:
Vasari: Missile based race, has a...
borderlands 2 for sure
and sadly, i dont want to admit it, but mod a minecraft server with bukkit and its insanely fun cant count how many hours i spend in tekkit building crazy factories :s
i5's dont have hyper-threading to begin with, and turning it off on the i7's helped with microstutter in game.
could be a driver issue, you have your latest chipset/gpu drivers installed? but after some research i found that some people were able to play after deleting this file
Go to my...
no matter how much ram you have windows will cache it away and re allocate it when it needs to. The problem with streaming that most people forget about is you are Encoding and Uploading on the fly, so it pretty much bypasses the HD. The thing it rapes is your CPU, if you are trying to stream at...
right click "my computer"
click properties
this should bring up a window called 'system'
from here it will list basic info about your computer, under the 'system' header it will list some basic information about your computer, proc, ram, and most importantly the system type you are using (x64/x86)
if you have a x64 version it will show two program files folders, one for your x86 programs, one for your x64 programs.
here is a link to a list of downloads for various versions of windows 7, all of which are downloaded from digital river. have fun...
yeah, not defending software piracy, but alot of those nasty software pirates will go and buy the game if they enjoy it. yes, kind of annoying that pirates get to play them earlier, but with the release of decent demos being non existent as of late i dont really blame them.
posts like this amuse me.
first off, the OP sounds like a butthurt cheater
secondly, when you buy/pay monthy for a MMO, you agree to their EULA, that EULA states that they basically reserve the right to remove your access to their service if they deem it necessary. so in other words, you...
right, but i think you have missed the entire premise of the game. Its WarZ = DayZ lite, meaning that the entire point of the game is straight up survival at any cost. The thing that i have noticed with DayZ is this, people who want to just survive and have fun raping zombies tend to congregate...
Punish people for PVPing? that seems like a mechanic that wouldnt work all that well. and i think that the OP has completely missed the point of the game. While i agree that a 1h respawn timer is a little crazy, the entire point of the game is to rip off DayZ for being a 'brutal' survival game...
there is quite a huge difference, if you steal a loaf of bread, the bakery looses a couple dollars. If a employee of a gaming company leaks a game they are potentially costing a company millions.
how is this a surprise that video games cost so much money? look at how much rockstar dumped into the development of GTA IV (little over 200m). video games = big money, especially with a franchise like halo, that they know will make them a ton of money.
It may make its funding goal, but it would be a stretch to expect anything else regardless. the 3d space combat genre seems to be a very niche market, there is no middle ground, people love em, or people hate them with a passion. That is also probably why we haven't seen a Homeworld 3 (even...
its pretty sad seeing this, but sometimes change is good. Greg and Ray have been with Bioware for so many great games (Jade Empire, Baldurs Gate, ME1, DE1) I wish them well in their future, and hope that this doesn't cause more of a downhill slide for the studio than the EA purchase.
