I am trying to identify this VGA connector I found on an "IPPPV-NAS" Motherboard. It's about 1/2" of an inch long, and 1/4" of an inch wide, and has16-pins. Anyone have an idea what it's called or where I could find an adapter to full size VGA?
Rackmount cases are not designed for gaming. 1U and 2U cases generally have either 1 full size PCI slot, or 4 half slots, so you have no where to put a graphics card. 3U cases are few and far between these days, and 4U cases are generally unnecessarily large.
Because the bulk of the currently...
Since these cases would be for recreational use, and not high density data centers with strict cooling design, I think it would be safe to use ventilated side panels and pull air from any direction except for maybe the rear. I have used some rack appliances that pull air from the sides of the...
Right, or some other form of x86 firewall or commodity hardware like a Lanner FW-7584.
There seems to be (to me) a lack of community knowledge regarding hardware and installation quirks outside of a basic build, and the general answer seems to be "purchase a pre-built appliance from Sophos"...
What made you choose Sophos over more popular products like Untangle and pfSense?
I'd love to use it, but I'm used to the level of community support pfSense provides and I'm cautious of losing said resource.
The type of mount I suggested would mount the UPS vertically instead of horizontally. If you were mounting a switch in that rack, the ports would be facing up. So it's only as deep(thick) as the number of Rack Units your device is.

I believe the i3-3110m is a BGA process, which means that it is soldered to the board and cannot be removed. So there is no way to re-purpose it, at least that I'm aware of.
You are absolutely right. OEM socket 775 support was miserable from most manufacturers. Most boards wouldn't let you upgrade the from P4 to next-gen P4, never the less C2D.
I'm not opposed to having different drivers, as long as they don't openly conflict with each other.
I need to connect 4 monitors in addition to the monitors connected to my HD-7950.
The computer already has a HD 7950 that will be used for gaming, but I have 2 x16 slots (1 already in use) and an x1 slot. I would like to save the x1 for a sound card or wireless adapter if at all possible, hence the single card option.
I was also leaning toward the 2450, since it would share...
Do they have driver support for Windows 8.1? A quick google search shows that a lot of people are having issues finding drivers for Windows 7 for the pre-owned market.
I'm looking for an inexpensive graphics card that supports 4 VGA monitors. It's not for gaming, just displaying mostly static information.
Here's what I've found:
NVS 440. The tech is getting pretty old (GeForce 6 era), but I can get PCIe x1.
Galaxy MDT GT520/610. Techically supports 4, but...
I'm trying to get a Debian VM running on my XenServer 6.2 farm, and I keep running into road blocks.
I've built an OTRS 3.3.8 Appliance in Virtualbox. I've been running it for days on my workstation to get it tweaked and dialed in, and I haven't had a single problem. I exported the VM as an...
Can anyone recommend a decent quality LCD mount/arm system that can be purchased and upgraded piece by piece?
Specifically, I want to buy a clamping post and mounts to secure 2 monitors above one another. Then sometime next year, buy a pair of arms (that won't sag) to mount additional...
