I guess any OC version of the cards will have capacitor whine, I can not hear any whine from my cards in my system since i have 13 fans in my case! :D

Hmmm you could try under clocking and see if your card behave better, less capacitor whine.

Becareful with TigerDirect, make sure you call them to make sure they have the cards, I tried to get a video card from them one time and it showed they had it but did not actually had it in stock!

I think the problem is with drivers and cap profiles, you just have to get the right combo to get it working and than you can try the tweaks.

Nope if you remove one of the 7970 card from the equation it will still stutter like a mother $$@!er! The latest patch has cause some issues with AMD cards, just look in the Steam Rage forum and see all the AMD users complaining about the stuttering.

Just tried it with Msi Fps limiter and no go still stutters using crossfire setup. :(

Yes it is normal, it happens with my setup also, monitor on DVI port will not come on until the windows login screen while monitors hooked up to the mini display ports will display during post.
