    Not allowing wp7 to upgrade to wp8 pretty much confirms what I had thought, that wp7 was nothing more than a beta test. This is why I wouldn't get a wp7, it felt too incomplete. wp8 looks pretty tempting though and is worth considering.

    The latest and greatest is always around the corner. I would get the Galaxy Nexus, especially if you want to flash custom roms. The Galaxy Nexus is definitely the best phone I've ever owned and despite the "disappointing hardware" it is extremely smooth and fast.
