I've just sent back the HD5450 to newegg for a replacement, crossing finger that the next one will be in a better shape. I've installed this card (X1 size) to a PCI-E x16 slot when this happened. Although the card manual did state that this card is compatible with x16, maybe I should try...
hello dmanstasiu,
Thank you for helping me out. I've tried reconnecting everything and start it over again. This time, the GTS did indeed work!! So I guess all I need to replace is the HD5450 itself.
But I wonder why it sparked on its first place. Can a faulty HD5450 make this kind...

Thanks for the heads up.. To be honest, I'm getting really tired with all the hassle I've gone through with this Crucial SSD. :( Unfortunately, I cannot get a refund since I've already thrown away to original box.

Bios updated.... no improvement in startup time. Just checked my RMA'd SSD and found out that the firmware was old 0309 so just updated it to newest 000f firmware. so far, no improvements :(
I've tried searching for S.M.A.R.T. option in my HP Probook 6465b boot option but cannot find it. Perhaps it maybe one of those computers that are permanently SMART enabled :(
UPDATE: Just got my RMA'd Crucial M4 back. I'd have to give a heads up to Crucial for a pretty nice customer service--friendy rep and fast turnaround time.

I've installed a new 128gb crucial m4 ssd on my HP Probook 6465b laptop for work last month. Since then, the computer has been running faster but also noticeably slower on bios power up (usually takes 6-8 sec on bios startup).
I decided to let it be that way for past month but...

Got a great deal from my friend on the ThermalRight TY-140s and need some advice on what case you guys recommend for them. I know that they are 140mm fans but can only be mounted on 120mm holes and am not sure if they fit on all 120mm cases. Any Lians or Silverstones?
Thanks
