Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm on the side of never letting it go. Its much better than it used to be for sure, and hopefully continuing on that trend. Borderlands 2 for example was pretty much flawless. Even with all the tweaking and frustration and questions its still enjoyable to have two cards whose cost is much...
One of the first release day games to work straight out of the box with my crossfire setup in pretty much EVER. I mean ZERO tweaking. It just worked. I cannot stress this enough how much of a relief that is.
Fixed it and ill post here just in-case this is ever needed by someone.
Setting up a Custom Catalyst Application profile that pointed to FalloutNV.4gb and assigning the TESV.exe crossfire profile to it fixed it.
I didn't think it would apply a profile to anything but an .exe, but that's not...
Alright I'm hoping someone can help me cause I'm going nuts here.
Trying to mod the hell out of Fallout New Vegas.
Literally spent 14 hours installing and uninstalling mods to get the game the way i want it.
I have narrowed it down to the 4GB mod causing issues where the game will start at...
My windows 98 box doesn't like your tone.
Seriously though, aside from IT controlled business machines/old hardware there's no reason to use XP. Our work machines use it and since using 7 everyday at home, XP feels so outdated.
I would love to get back into this game but every time i start it seems like a overflow error and blue-screens.
The even log says that ntoskrnl.exe is the culprit. Searching has led me nowhere.
Guess ill start working on why that happens again!
Thanks for the heads up!
This thread got me into gathering parts for my own machine

and case from a newer minitower IBM i was given from work
Can't wait to put it all together!
Carmageddon here I come!
The few occasions i have had a CTD during or right after a save, the file was corrupt. When trying to load it would just show the load screen eternally... so it appears it wont let you kill your save (i hope.)
I do notice that loading takes a bit longer than it used to as i get up into the...
Absolutely positive scaling. It runs just fine. I was actually surprised this thread came back because im at 190 hours and haven't had issues beyond the first few weeks.
Afterburner shows between 75% and 95% utilization for both cards.
Except when trying to move away from the 12.1...
I have no problems with my two 6970's.
Run the 12.1 drivers. Through all my testing that seems to work best.
Minimal issues at 2560x1600... I'm pretty sure with all the texture packs and modified INI I dropped it down to 8x aa.... but still runs smooth.
With an older proc!
Anyone have any ideas as to why I get massive screen tearing in both Skyrim and PAYDAY with these drivers?
Only happens w Vsync on. The 12.1 drivers were working fine, so im back to those.
Vsync off allows for no tearing (obviously) but framerates to shoot up and the cards to be near 100% the...
I had to close steam completely.
Navigate to your steamapps folder
Launch the game EXE from the directory with steam closed.
When you do that, it opens steam and the game works fine from then on.
If that doesn't work, you may need to reinstall Physx again. I have AMD's and apparently...
Got the new patch. Like NIGHT AND DAY difference. 10+ frame gains in most places, and a lot of the stuttering gone.
However, I guess due to the HD texture mods, and the INI tweaks from the DNA website, the skyrim.exe is pushing its full 4gb limit, resulting in a couple CTD's yesterday. Looks...
12.1 runs nice on my system frame rate wise, but it BSOD's at any transition between areas or when auto saving.
Also the map and journal flicker yellow like MAD - that has happened with 11.11 a, b and c.
only stable ones are the OG 11.11's but the frame rates BLOW
