I had a very good rma experience with Philips, my monitor had very bad horizontal banding in the central portion of the screen and on a darker gray image it looked dirty/burned, you could see the central part of the image was considerably warmer than the rest. Philips arranged a pick up & swap...
I sold my LG 31" 4k (4096x2160) monitor due to my eyes getting unusually tired after using it for a few hours and very poor black levels. I was debating getting the Samsung 34" but after much thought I instead purchased the Philips BDM4065UC from Overclockers.co.uk and I'm glad I did! This thing...
I am looking to replace my LG 31MU97 with a resolution of 4096x2160. It is a great monitor and mine has no faults but there are 2 things with it that I can't work with. The first is the edges seem brighter when looking at the screen head-on, this is not a fault with the montior and all newer IPS...
Ewww I've used 1080p at 32" and there just wans't enough resolution, I had a BenQ 32" at 1440p and that was 'just' about acceptable although I always wanted a bit more resolution.
I bought this monitor as a temporary replacement while my LG 4k monitor was getting RMA'd (I bagged it for £150), it's a great little monitor and can't fault it, if you are using it as a primary monitor I'd strongly suggest getting 2 as 1440p doesn't offer much desktop real estate
Hi there, I'm having some trouble with my new PC, I've just finished building it and it's working really well except without warning, when working in SpeedTree modeller, Unreal Engine 4 or 3ds Max the PC will just freeze without warning. The whole thing is completely locked up, i can't move the...
Mines started to develop a problem, in the upper left corner the display looks really dirty, that's the best way of describing the issue, it looks slightly dimmer and the pixels are bleeding
That's great news, the monitor would have been unusable otherwise (It will be connected via display port), I just hope it was the monitor itself that took in the 75hz signal and frame skipped rather than your gpu putting out a 60hz signal with your gpu doing all the work
I really hope this things accepts a 2560x1440 @ 75hz signal as stated in the specs, not bothered if it has frame skipping I'm not looking to overclock it but it's ability to display a 75hz signal is required (even if it only outputs a 60hz signal), found one in stock and ordered it.
Just a quick FYI DO NOT order this if you are in the UK, I ordered this about a month ago and there is now a 16 week wait ontop of that, I've gotten a refund and instead ordering one of the 32" Korean models
I'm actually thinking of buying this for 2 reasons, the first is that the black levels and contrast ratio are supposed to be REALLY good, the second is my worsening sleeping condition this monitor has features that automatically kill blue light which may help
That is most definitely using a TN panel, I was looking at getting myself one of these and did some research and it appears that some of them have IPS panels and some have TN, it's a bit of a lottery. You'd be good sending it back for a replacement or even sending it back for a refund and...
Dell monitors seem to have both lots of quality control issues and various bugs (like leaving bright trails behind moving images being one of the worst).
It appears that the only real progress they've made is including GB-r and LED backlights. The panels haven't really improved that much...
Looking at mine the upper right corner seems closer to the top than the upper left corner, but only by less than 1mm. I wouldn't let it bother you though I've owned top of the range Dell monitors with similar "issues"
I don't have another monitor... but I DO have an Oculus Rift (which Windows sees as a secondary monitor) and it hasn't caused any problems, it acts just the way it did on my old 30" monitor, I'd recommend using the HDMI port for a secondary display though because using the DVI port means the...
There is no setting to 'disable' MST mode, and as much as I have tried I am unable to 'break' the MST mode if this monitor has one, the bios displays as it would on any monitor in full screen as does lower resolutions. Both Windows and all the places in the NVidia control panel see this as 1...
HDMI can only handle 30hz, that can be overclocked to about 31.4hz but after that it doesn't work. You can use 2xHDMI to get a full 4k @ 60hz picture but Windows will see it as 2 1920x2160 displays rather than 1 3840x2160 display
No, this display uses a scaler that seems to be 'locked' to 60hz, so even though it will display an image at 65hz, you are still only getting 60 frames a second with frameskipping
Using the monitor in 1080p looks somewhat blurry due to the image being scaled up
Today I received my new U28D590 UHD (4k) monitor and decided that I'd leave a review for people to easily find who are on the wall about ordering this monitor. Pictures will follow later, for now however only text based review with 'borrowed' pictures.
In case you've stumbled on this review by...
I have been bought (ie. I didn't choose it myself) a brand new monitor since my trusty 30" Shimian has died after 2 years of almost 24/7 usage. The monitor they have chosen for me is a "Samsung U28D590", specifically this one at this link...
80hz, which it recommends in the manual. I was contemplating sending it back, It didn't look very big in the pictures but it's massive and doesn't even fit under my desk. M-Audio don't do any other Subwoofer models though.
The thing shakes the entire building and even all the tools in the shed...
Hi, I have reciently purchased a pair of M-Audio BX5 D2 speakers which work great, I have reciently purchased an M-Audio SBX10 Subwoofer as I need to hear my lows.
I've put the volume knob on the back of the BX5's to the middle setting which I assume is 0db, I have then set the subwoofer's...
