Have you actually tried 1152x720@160Hz? From my experience, it doesn't do anything higher than 154hz in the nvidia control panel. If yours works, I would love to know why mine doesn't lol. A cool utility that I came across: Nvidia Custom Resolutions Backup Tool Backup saved nvidia resolutions

I'm really liking 1152x720 @ 154hz. I'm finding newer games nowadays don't have UI scale or anything so chat boxes are extremely hard to read at anything lower than that.

With the default NVIDIA GTF settings 1152x720@154 is the highest that works for me. But I'm sure CRU would work fine.

Can you get 1152x720@160 with the nvidia custom resolution, or does it require CRU? Seems like a interesting resolution to try out.

Hmm interesting. Unreal Tournament and Quake are absolutely fantastic at that resolution. I have to say I'm in love with this monitor again. I've been using 1440x900 @120hz for normal desktop usage and have zero complaints.

hmmmm, I never turn off the monitor. I know its really bad to always have it on 24/7 but its just something ive always done.

Ever since I did the WinDAS to fix the brightness problem it's been going great up until the past week. Now it blurs out for a second and a pop noise is heard then it goes back to normal. It's sorta freaky I was playing a game during the time it happened, I thought my vision went out :eek:

The colors seem kind of dull and whites are sort of greyish. I wonder if the tube is just worn out or if I just have to calibrate it better. I might play with the drive_max setting.

Thanks everyone. I taped all the wires together and finally manged to get them in. My defualt G2 value was 143 I changed it to 120 and it looks amazing compare to what it was before. It also let's me do the image restoration process.

My winDAS cabled arrived today. Just curious how long did it take you guys to connect it? I've been at it few about an hour and a half now and it's so extremely tedious to get them in there.

It's really bright even if brightness is set to 0 and image restoration doesn't work. So I need the rlc-3 ttl cable and that hooks up to the SB To TTL converter?

Is my monitor done for? Every time I try to do an image restore it completely turns off right after. When I turn it back on it has to warm up. Also, shouldn't the menu be right in the center? I've noticed mine was way to the left.

My FW900 was working great until a few days ago, I powered it up and it flickers green for a few seconds, but it goes away... is this a sign that it's going out? Also...is this a good bnc cable...

I got a few questions I should have researched this a bit further, but I bought a dvi to vga cable specifically this. Would it have been a better choice to have went with dvi to bnc? I notice when I'm on a black screen my mouse trials extremely bad I assume this is lag?

My friend recently acquired this monitor. It appears to have a yellowish tint. Will windas fix this? This is even after the monitor is warmed up. He has done image restoration and tried different color settings.
