10 Samsung 2tb drives, every drive writes with different speed.

Well, I think this can't really be the issue, because i took a few drives out and tested them individually in a windows workstation. (Pictures in my last post)

10 Samsung 2tb drives, every drive writes with different speed.

when i do a dd on a slower disk sometimes it goes down to 7MB/s according to gstat. I have no idea what could cause something like this. New cables, no issues according to smart, no apparent reason why is it so slow.

Slow read, fast write after tricky raidz2 creation.

I've made a 10 disk raidz2 pool with 8 drives(the last 2 drives had the data from my previous pool) and 2 md devices. (The pool was made with using the gnop trick so It should not be an allignment problem.) After creating the pool I've removed the md devices so the pool became degraded but...

    ZFSguru NAS fileserver project

Hi! It's my first post on [H]ard|Forum, but I was lurking in the shadows for quite a while now. I'm building a nas/storage/backup out of a HP Microserver and 6 Samsung F4 2TB drives. My plan is to use them in a 2x3 drive raidz1 or a 6drive raidz2, but I'm not sure which would be the better...
