ASUS Releases UEFI Updates For Intel’s Next-Gen LGA 1151 CPUs

After installing Microsoft Update KB3133977 for Windows 7, some users may encounter a "Secure Boot Violation" , which makes the system fail to boot into the operating system.

Check using each memory module on its own in different slots. Keep default settings. IRQ BSODs can be memory related, while Whea can be memory or CPU side.

If the RMA does not go through, drop me a PM. That said, when you do RMA the board, get the PSU checked properly also - make sure there are no anomalies on the rails (needs to be checked with a load bank and oscilloscope).

If you have AI Suite installed, remove it. The current version polls a bit too aggressively, which can cause DPC latency spikes.

ASUS Will NOT Replace my Mobo After I Damaged it Myself.

There it is, the big "If". The assumption that all our boards are designed with stock coolers in mind, is just that, an assumption - and an inaccurate one at that. The reality is, we have very few stock coolers on any of the R&D lines. There is a mixture of cooling solutions on the R&D lines...

ASUS Will NOT Replace my Mobo After I Damaged it Myself.

There isn't any way for either party to provide 100% proof, so nothing anyone can say really. Someone can take a pic the day they bought the product for example. Only thing I know is, if anyone on our side were doing it and was caught, they'd be fired.

It's not FUD, they don't reply until they get a response from the company that repairs the boards for us. You make a good point - it is something we need to improve. Good luck with your purchases.

ASUS Will NOT Replace my Mobo After I Damaged it Myself.

Its quite easy for anyone to find a product photo and pass it off as their own - so I wouldn't submit a pic unless one includes sufficient evidence. The boards need examining properly to determine the extent of damage, that would have taken some time. Comms could have been better, but in...

ASUS Will NOT Replace my Mobo After I Damaged it Myself.

To meet trace spec, this has to be done. Any mismatch in trace impedance causes timing errors. The right side of the socket land is the IMC output side - traces that run to the highest and lowest pins to the DRAM slots, pass by the mounting holes. Trace impedance modelling is not a subject that...

ASUS Will NOT Replace my Mobo After I Damaged it Myself.

Have to route them that way otherwise trace impedance does not match spec and DRAM stability will suffer. No choice.

ASUS Will NOT Replace my Mobo After I Damaged it Myself.

Memory traces run adjacent to the holes. Easy to strip the mask off and short or damage them if one is not careful installing or removing certain cooler mounts. I can't help you on this one; it is user error.

Get on the 1202 build - you should be fine. The early issues with some memory kits due to "tight" memory sub-timing rules have been sorted.

Rampage V Extreme CPU fan header and D5 pump.

The issue is likely due to the temps and the default curve not being sufficient to power the pump. You will need to disable Q-Fan control in UEFI, or set a manual fan curve. Both things are available for you to set/tune.

64GB at those speeds is likely not going ot be plug and play, if you can get it stable at all. If you really need that kind of memory density for work machines, you should be on a workstation platform using ECC memory.

I would use higher IO an SA voltage - more like 1.30V. This board is 4 layer, for 16GB they tend to need higher SA and IO voltage than the 6 and 8 layer boards. The board/memory is failing memory training from power cycle. If that does not help, you can try increasing some of the third tier...
