    Where are the 8K Monitors?

Finally found another Dell 8k UP3218k at a decent price ($1500 new sealed) I should of never sold the original one I had a few years back. I forgot how much of a GOAT monitor this is: 32", Glossy screen & 8k. Its like looking through a window . 8k IS THE REAL DEAL, don't let anyone tell you...

The 32 inch 4k IPS 144hz's...(Update - this party is started) (wait for it...)

Innocn 32" 32M2V vs the Acer x32 FP. So far the Inncon destroys the X32 FP. Better contrast, better screen coating, and a night and day difference with HDR. On top of all that the Acer x32fp's software is a disaster, HDR works 20% of the time if you're lucky

    Dell Alienware AW3423DWF 34″ QD-OLED 165Hz FreeSync Premium Pro (3440 x 1440)

How so ? Review seems to indicate its the same panel & near identical, or am I missing something ? (in fact it seems like a worse deal, the MSI is more expensive with no discounts atm, and the bezel is ugly as all hell)

    42" OLED MASTER THREAD

if you're concerned about "burn-in" buy an extended warranty with burn-in protection. (CPS sells one for $199 for 5 years, best buy covers it too) leave the task bar on, and enjoy

The 32 inch 4k IPS 144hz's...(Update - this party is started) (wait for it...)

yup, hard pass for me too. With 38" ultrawides with similar PPI now sub $1500 these manufactures are high AF charging $3k with no HDMI 2.1, matte screens, and OLED monitors on the horizon. Plus WTF Asus with that 2006 "GAMERZ " design ? Really Asus is that the best you can do in 2021? That...

    40" 5120x2160 LG panel in Q1 2021

omg I am in.. been waiting for that size with higher PPI You guys can take your peasant 48" CX with 2010 PPI :). Praying for a glossy screen (And I'd bet we see an Alienware gaming version of this sometime in 2021)

    40" 5120x2160 LG panel in Q1 2021

some of you guys must have never used the 8k Dell 32? It's like looking at a sheet of paper, games look absolutely insane at that resolution. While I got rid of mine cause I couldn't get any cards to run games at 8k, 2021 is a great year to have an 8k monitor with HDMI 2.1 and the RTX 3000...

    LG 48CX

No more 48" for me boys, sold off the 48" last week and moving back to my LG38 Ultrawide as my daily driver then putting the 77" on the wall next to it. The TV it's self is amazing, but 48" is just TOO big for normal desktop use. (And yes I have a huge desk) Even pushing the screen back doesn't...

    LG 38GL950G - 37.5" 3840x1600/G-Sync/175Hz

the LG 38" by far While the OLED crushes it on picture quality, the LG has a much sharper image with the increased PPI and the 160hz+gsync is like butter only .....If LG could somehow make an OLED version of the 38" LOL
  25. M

    LG 38GL950G - 37.5" 3840x1600/G-Sync/175Hz

Yes IMO the LG 38" is the currently the best gaming monitor around (and yes I also own an LG OLED CX48 sitting next to it)
  26. M

Using an OLED as a PC Monitor; worth it?

size is too big I have a CX48 & an LG 38" ultrawide, I only use the OLED for gaming (which its awesome for) otherwise it's way too big for normal desktop use, and some games just don't work well on that large of a screen w/keyboard and mouse (RTS & MOBA for instance)

    LG 48CX

    will it support 4k 4:4:4 @96hz ?

    LG 48CX

my point is 108 ppi sucks bad. I am stunned at the low ppi acceptance around here lol. Especially when phones have 400+ ppi these days.... Anyone that has used a 27" 1440p screen vs a 27" 5k screen should tell you its a night and day difference in image quality again this OLED and even the...

    LG 48CX

The ppi is the biggest issue here. I don't think anyone would decline an 8k version of this (being we had GPU's that could handle it lol) That being said, the picture quality on this thing is literally insane. TLOU2 on a ps4pro or Gears 5 on PC look like different games using this OLED vs my...

anyone know an easy way to hot key a button to swap between 4:2:2 120hz & 4:4:4: 60hz with out having to go into the NVIDA control panel every time ?
  32. M

    LG 48CX

Some people here are fooling them selfs if they think simply pushing a bigger 4k screen back is the same as a 27"-32" high PPI monitor in your face with a mouse & keyboard right in front of you. This is the reason I am keeping both :p Completely different experiences.
  33. M

    LG 48CX

lol that was just for testing (notice the stickers still on the screen) I've had 48" TV's as monitors many times, and regardless of text size, screen size, or scaling, 48" is still Too Big :p 32" 4K is the sweet spot of ppi & viewing angle (though i'd say 36 or 38" @8k 165hz OLED would be...

    LG 48CX

Got this thing set up on an ErgoTech desk monitor arm, with a 22" Dell monitor in portrait next to it. No stand and flush with the desk. Perfect as the stand places this thing too high. While the contrast and picture quality is fantastic on this, 48" is still TOO BIG for normal desktop usage...

    LG 38GL950G - 37.5" 3840x1600/G-Sync/175Hz

HDR on this thing looks like ass. Tried it a few times and it just doesn't have the contrast to pull it off like a VA Panel/OLED does.

    LG 38GL950G - 37.5" 3840x1600/G-Sync/175Hz

looks like that is a standard price drop. Best Buy has it for $1599 as well. They actually price matched and just refunded me the $200 difference from last months order :)

    LG 38GL950G - 37.5" 3840x1600/G-Sync/175Hz

Is there some reason I can't run this above 144hz ? I am stumped here. 2080ti using the display port cable in the box and it says resolution maxes out at 144hz. I have Overclock on in the menu & Gsync on as well???
